cFloor's 190g

Wow, that is a stunning fish, and the fact that he eats bubble algae makes him worth his weight in gold!!! Beautiful picture as well, I love seeing the gardening each of us does in the tanks to find new homes for pretty sticks!
He's also one of the most personable fish I've owned. I can hardly take a picture of corals because he'll be up front against the glass checking me out. haha. I'll try to snap some pics of the frags I crammed everywhere. Tonga branch was awesome for creating new places for corals.
whooo mighty fine mighty fine!
is that a japanese masked swallowtail hiding behind that tort?!?! so nice
Thanks! Yes, I have a pair of them and one just turned male, which was really cool.
Nice pic Connor tank still looking the goods
Thanks! There's been a lot of instability with the tank lately but I'm trying to bring it back.

Well the tank is still looking spectacular and so is that desjardini.
That fish pic is pretty impressive between the two genicanthus, tang, Angel, butterfly and pintail... Still got a bunch of goodies in there.
Nice, Conor!

I am loving my desjardini tang. I originally had him in my display but moved him to a larger tank. When my bubble algae problem got completely out of control I moved him back. I literally had bubble algae covering every inch of exposed rock and he wiped it out in under two weeks. So stoked!

In this pic you can see some of my new frags propped up on tonga branch throughout the tank.

Wow Conor......... just wow mate, i love seeing pics of your reef more than just about any other my friend :)

Tank and fish Beautiful as always! Your tank has really filled in nicely! Glad to see one of us is growing coral lol.

That is a beautiful tang! Reef not to shabby either. :D

Thanks so much for the kind words, it really means a lot to me, especially coming from such skilled reefers as yourselves!

The tank has been very unstable the past couple months. I adding new equipment such as a new sump, skimmer, apex, light, and more which has resulted in parameter swings all over the place. I've also had equipment failures which furthered these swings. However, everything is beginning to settle back in and colors are coming back. Stn in a few corals is starting to get covered with new growth, so I'm thinking the worst is behind me. For maintenance, I've cut it all down to weekly 10% water changes, dosing b ionic 2 part, and feeding the fish 2-3 times a day. I have a reefbrite xho strip in the mail which I'm very excited about, so I'll do another update once I get that mounted.

I got a couple pics tonight using my GoPro that I thought I'd share here.

The color of the tank is definitely off in these pics. Still can't get that quite figured out.

Fan frickin tastic!!
Just wondering.... Aren't those go pros water poof? And don't they shoot video??
:)
Stunning tank, Conor. Issues or no..

Your FTS's always blow me away Conor, it won't take the acros long to get their pop back mate and the LED strip will make evening viewing a tad naughty.
That angel is too cool for words buddy :smokin:

Things are looking really good despite your instability. I'm glad to (not) read about more fish losses, hopefully the worst is over and you can rebuild.

Simply inspiring Conor :) I'm glad to hear the worst is behind you and I have no doubts you'll have the tank absolutely pumping again in no time! :)

The size of some of your colonies blows me away too :inlove: just fantastic!

I'm sorry to hear about the instability, but the tank looks pretty amazing regardless!
Thanks Matt, appreciate it. All the instability issues were my fault. Even what resulted from equipment failure. I just have to check up on the systems equipment and parameters more often than I do and all should be well.
Stag is about to hit the surface good show
Thanks, yeah it's getting there. I use to be able to change 20 gallons out of this tank without the corals breaking the surface, now I can't even do 5.

Alright, alright, I guess I'll have to put the GoPro to work then. When I've tried underwater videos in the past with this camera they turn out extremely blue, which is weird because my tank has a 14k look to it right now.

Thanks Andrew! Means a lot bud. As I mentioned earlier in this post, the instability with the tank has mostly been my fault. If I check my parameters more often my corals should be happy. And yes! I'm really looking forward to installing the reefbrite. I saw a video on youtube with a guy showing the difference between his tank with t5s only, and then with the reefbrite on with them. I was sold immediately. You lucky guys with Halides don't have to worry about that though.

Thank you, yea my fish appear to be doing o.k. I can't spot any blemishes, spots, or weird behavior anymore. I think I'm going to keep my fish population as is for the foreseeable future. I'm happy with what I have and I certainly don't want anymore losses.
Tank is absolutely beautiful!
Thanks for dropping in, I appreciate it.

Thanks!! I sure hope so. There's been a steady improvement in both my fish and corals the past couple weeks so I'm hoping that continues.
Looking great...[emoji106] Any pics of the new sump and skimmer
Thank you, yes I'll get some pics of my fish room soon. I believe I posted some a couple pages back but I'll do an update soon. Maybe a video of the fish room too, but that might be boring.

Thanks, that's a Male Katherine's fairy wrasse. Some people don't really like them but I do. He has these bright red eyes that look really cool!

I just added a 60 inch Reef Brite XHO strip to my ATI fixture and Wow! It's exactly what I was hoping for. The morning/evening viewing (I'm running the reefbrite with 2 t5s) is awesome! There's a subtle shimmer now in the tank and it brings out some colors that I couldn't really see before. Even when all 8 t5s are on it really adds some nice pop to the tank. I really couldn't be happier. I'll try to get some pics or video of it, although I'm not sure I will be able to capture the difference using my phone or GoPro.
