What fish do you have in the tank currently?

Saw the following:

Regal
Bellus Male
Fasciatus female
Borbonious Anthias
Bimac Anthias
Rhomboid wrasse
Pintail Wrasse
What looked like a McCosker's or Yellowfin flasher
What looked like a Lunate Wrasse
Earlie wrasse
What could possibly be C.brunneus? Or a dark morph of the Scotts wrasse.....
Magnificent Foxface....

Several others, but I'm really curious about what all you have in that gorgeous system!

Congrats on the wedding. I'll have been married for 11 years in October, and I dont regret a single moment of it.

People will tell you that a marriage takes work.
They're wrong.
Marriage takes effort.

The vast majority of the world goes to work because they have to, not because they want to. Even if they do like their jobs, I doubt very few would do it for free. They go to work to make money.
Period.

You put effort into things that are important to you and that you care about.

It may sound like semantics, but it's an important difference in my mind.

Regardless, congrats on the wedding and glad you had a good time in Kauai. It's been a long time since I've been there, but I enjoyed my time there. Need to try and take the wife and kids to Hawaii eventually....

Congrats Conor on your marriage, I bet your wedding was beautiful!

How old was the MP40 wetside? I'm on vacation right now and the last thing I want to see is one of my wetsides going out. I did clean them well so there's that.

Great video update as well!

Seriously love this tank.
Appreciate it sahin, feel the same about your tank.

Love both of those things! :)
Thanks! The JF firecracker is really turning out nice. It looks better in person than in the pic.
Now there is one more awesome pic conor:inlove:
Love the anthias and the corals in the backround!

I was expecting nothing less of you, regarding the years you have the fish with you;)
If you had to pick your favorite what would that be?
Thanks so much :) I have always been a big fan of wrasses and angelfish. I love wrasses for their beauty and their social interaction with each other. They also do very well in a reef tank. Angels are my favorite but they obviously come with some risk in a reef tank. My favorite fish would have to be the regal angel. I find them to be one of the prettiest fish in the ocean and I've had good luck with them in SPS tanks. I have one in my display and a smaller one in sump/tub.

Thank you so much for the kind words and advice! I agree with everything you said, and yes you have to get the family back to Kauai. It's my favorite island by far. I go once or twice a year and I'll continue doing so. I'm headed back this December.

I have quite a few fish in my sump and frag tank, but in my display I currently have:
1 male bimaculatus anthias
2 dispar anthias, 1 male and 1 female
1 borbonius anthias

1 male, 1 female G. semificiatus
1 regal angel

1 katherine's fairy wrasse
1 eightline flasher wrasse
1 pintail fairy wrasse
1 rhomboid wrasse
1 lunate fairy wrasse
1 Tanaka's pygmy wrasse
1 Filamented flasher wrasse
1 blue star leopard wrasse
1 Whitetail bristle tooth tang
1 Desjardins Tang
1 yellow tang

2 mocha clowns

1 magnificent fox face

I think that's it

Thank you! The wedding was awesome! We got really lucky with the weather, so I couldn't be happier.

I believe that wetside was at least 3 years old. I hope you have a good vacation! Where are you?

I just got back from a trip to Mexico. Saw some beautiful fish and found some nice, empty point breaks with some close friends. My brother, who looks after my tank when I'm away only feeds the fish once a day and my corals seem to look better so I might start slowly cutting back on my feeding.

How things are looking today

I have come to believe that if nothing bad has happened during vacations, like power outage/fish death/etc....most of our tanks look better than when we are home and mess with them:p
The less we mess the more success:)
Hope you had a good time in mexico!

Thanks for sharing the pic conor, tank looks awesome:beer:

It looks stunning with those big mature colorful colonies thriving Conor, the fish are awesome as always. :)

Holy Crap Conor! Those corals have gotten HUGE! That tort center piece is one of my favorites, I too use mine as a show piece, just the staple coral sps tank, but not often pulled off so well :) That piece in the bottom left, that is huge as well, which coral is that? Great stuff, look forward to seeing your write up for TOTM, as I am sure it will be coming soon :)

Thanks! I agree, as long as nothing goes wrong my tank looks better when I leave it alone. And thanks, Mex was a blast! Good waves, warm water and lots of sea life.
Oh yeah!!!
Yea Ryan, thanks bud!

Appreciate it Andrew, It's funny most my fish decided to hide for that pic. You can see my baby goldflake under the middle tort. I just brought him over recently from my sump.

Thanks so much! I bought that center Cali tort the same day as my oregon tort and the size difference between the two is crazy! I wish my OT grew as fast. The green coral with blue tips at bottom left was sold to me as a small browned out frag. The guy told me it was an exquisita but I'm not sure about that.
Drop dead gorgeous, Conor!
Just love the balance, form, maturity and palette of your tank!
Thanks so much! That means a lot to me. Lots of thought was put into coral placement so I'm glad it's all starting to come together a bit.

Love the FTS, every time I see an update on this thread I can't wait to open it! One of the best tanks on here, I think what sets it apart is the centerpiece. I tried to mimic with my Slimer, but the tort is so much better! Wish I could find a piece down here. You're running out of room in the lower left :eek1:, nice problem to have

It is 01.44 am here in the UK. I have just finished reading your entire tank thread. It took me a good few hours to absorb all the information. You have a very impressive set up. Congratulations. Despite the recent set back on the fish front, you kept going. I salute you.

I love the blue acropora in the middle. I hope my gomezi will grow as big as your one day.

Conor, that is what I thought it was, I have a piece of exquistor that I featured recently in my journal. That colony is HUGE! Really cool coral indeed :) Thanks for the reply.
