cFloor's 190g

WOW Conor!!! :inlove:
Tank is looking amazing mate!!!

Thanks Scotty!

I was walking by my tank last night minutes before the final lights go out, which is at about 1am. I again noticed eggs floating around, but much less than last time. I turned the flow off and grabbed my phone to try to get some video of it. Again, it's my Cali Tort that appears to be spawning. If anyone knows or has experience with this please chime in.

I guess your cali gave you the reefer/owner of the month award buddy:beer:
Welldone, what better way to know you're doing something right!

So cool!
When's the full moon? I think very soon..
I'm not really sure, I gotta look that up.
Really really cool. Interesting it seems the fish are not interested in eating the eggs?
My tort spawned twice in the past couple weeks and both times I didn't see a fish go after a single egg. I thought that was very interesting.
What a awesome event to catch
Yeah, its really cool to see. I've had my torch coral spawn but never an acro before this.

haha, thanks bud. What's odd is my tank has looked much happier in the past. I've been traveling a lot lately and have really slacked on my water changes and other maintenance that I usually do. Maybe that's a good thing??

Very cool! Even better, you were lucky enough to be home and see it. On the flip side, hopefully the spawning event isn't so much that it starts to pollute the tank. I would keep an eye out on parameters for a few days.

Quick photo update, My Jason Fox Firecracker is growing really fast and is by far the brightest coral in my tank.

Hawkins close up

Here's a few of my cute lil baby angels in the frag tank, the goldflake and regal are very tiny. There's also a juvi multibar angel in there that's about the same size, I'll try and get a pic of her to share

I've been doing some trimming lately and I've removed a couple colonies to make room for some frags and give others more room for growth.

And because I'm so fond of these little guys

and this one's for you biggles

Yea, I was very happy and lucky to witness this event. I did do a few water changes the following days to keep the water clean. There were tons of eggs and I'm sure it would of had an effect.

Those angels are so cute!
Crazy tort shot. The branches are so long and straight. Mine has a completely different growth form. Way more dense and stalky.
That JF is nutso.

I want my bounce [emoji265]back!

Thanks! Yea, it has grown quite a bit since it's been in the frag tank. Very happy with it

Looking great Conor. love the choice of angels.
I feel the same about your fish! Thank you
OH. MY. GOD! :inlove: :inlove: :inlove:

Those baby angels are just the best things ever!! :D
They really are, I love them. I'm considering plumbing another larger tank into my system when they get bigger. My 190g has enough fish in it already.

My other torts, which are in my frag tank are more like yours. Not sure how or why my cali tort has grown the way it has. My oregon tort is actually growing somewhat similar to my Cali now that I think about it, just much much smaller and I bought them the same day.

That JF Firecracker is really cool. The pic I posted is oversaturated for some reason, I didn't adjust anything but sharpness. But it really pops amongst the other corals. I like it so much I cut a large frag off it and mounted it in the left side of the tank.
