cFloor's 190g

Wow! Stunning looking tank. FTS of the huge colonies is absolutely amazing!

Thanks! I'll get an updated FTS up soon too, corals have started growing into each other so I moved some stuff around and made a bunch of cuts.

I've gotten some new goodies in recently.
This is a custom built sump from Advanced Acrylics. I'm very impressed with it. By far the nicest sump I've ever owned. 60"x24"x16"

I got a Red Sea Reefer 170 and 250. The 170 I will use for coral QT and the 250 will have several uses, the main one being fish QT. These all in one setups are great! It took me about two hours to build both stands, plumb both tanks, and get water running through them. They are also very pleasing to the eye. I couldn't be happier with them.

Here's a pic of the 170 with a test coral in it. I've put a Radion X30 gen 4 pro over it and I got an mp40 I'll use for flow. This has had saltwater in it for about two weeks now so hopefully the coral does well

The 250 has had a test run with fresh water but it's not up and running at the moment. I will put a cheap LED light over this tank and have an mp40 for flow.

I also got an L1 Vectra pump that I will either use on my current 190g tank or wait to use it on a new tank if my wife and I find a house. I tested it out in some large tubs of water and I'm very impressed. I should be able to have the same amount of turnover with much less electricity than what I have now.

Oh baby! That's a lot of gear!
Nice.
I've been stocking up with high hopes that we'll be moving soon. Ordering a new tank is next. I think with the dimensions I want it's gonna be a 270 gallon tank.
Wow looks like Santa came early congrats. That sump looks awesome [emoji106]
Yes indeed! I've been geeking out pretty hard in my fish room. Now if I can just figure out how to program this damn radion :angryfire:
WOW Conor! Just WOW!!!
Thanks bud!

Wow looks like your christmas was pretty bloody good Conor!! :eek1:

I have to say the tank is looking absolutely fantastic and is a huge inspiration for me and my little tank :) That rosefaciata is gorgeous too :inlove: I thought about getting one but the size and the fact that they're a little more aggressive has made me hesitate lol I might just keep saving up for a c. claire instead :lolspin:

Thanks bud, your tank is really coming along too. I've always heard that rosefascias can get aggressive but mine has been a model citizen so far. Hopefully that continues. A c. claire is one of my dream fish, that'd be awesome!
Your sump is state of the art. I am very impressed with your Christmas presents you got for yourself.
Yes, I was very pleased with the build quality of the sump. Can't wait to get it up and running but it might be a while.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season so far!

I took this shot the other night with only two blue+ bulbs and my reefbrites on. You can see, the larger of the two goldflakes is very skinny in this picture. He stopped eating a few weeks back for some reason and sadly, I just lost him. I tried catching him but he wouldn't go into the trap and a net definitely wasn't working. Was a huge bummer. I'm not sure what happened.

I am really sorry about your fish loss. I know that this can be very upsetting. So I feel for you. I have recently lost my beloved file fish, Mr E.T.

May I ask if your regal angel is a well behaved fish. Does it nip at the polys of your Acroporids?

Wow! Those are some massive colonies. Love your scape too.
Thanks so much!

Thank you, I saw in your thread that you lost your file fish, such a bummer. :(

My regal doesn't nip at any of my acros. I've tried Chalices, and meaty LPS which he loves to eat so they stay in my frag tank.

Sorry to hear about the goldflake, Conor. Not fun to lose a big nice fish like that..
You tank continues to astound me.
Just awesome!
You have one of those tanks that makes it look deceptively easy to keep a thriving, healthy sps tank.
You have the touch!

Yea, losing that goldflake was such a bummer. He was a gentle giant, very mellow with all the other fish and most importantly never nipped at any corals. He will definitely be missed.

Thank you for the compliment, I think deceptively is the key word here, haha. I follow the K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) approach to most of what I do in life, including my reef tank.

Took another crappy iPhone pic the other day. Some colors are over saturated while others look too washed out or bleached. I'm hoping the new iPhone has a better camera as advertised.

I recently ordered a new tank for the new home I do not yet have  It's about 60 gallons larger than my current tank, and I'm super excited about it. I'm taking what I've learned from this tank and from following all your threads here on RC to hopefully create a tank that will be more organized, easier to work on, and visually pleasing. I'm nervous about the transfer, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

...now will someone please talk me out of buying a bunch of radions!
