cFloor's 190g

Stunning as always [emoji106]
Can't wait to see what you do with the new tank.
Maybe we can get a sneak peak

sneak peak: 247 gallon Peninsula. 72"x36"x22"

I will not be moving to the new house any time soon, so I will be setting up the new tank in my garage. The biggest change I'm considering is switching over to 6 G4 Radion pros. I have one on my frag tank at the moment and I'm very happy with how my corals have reacted to it. I am going to plumb my frag tank into it and possibly my current 190 gallon into it as well. Most of my fish will go into the 190. My vision for the peninsula is to have very few fish and TONS of corals, but I'm not sure I have the restraint to do that. I'm very excited, and hoping to find some time in the next month or so to get the ball rolling.

Wow ...!that's a tank. Can't wait for more
May need 8 radions
I run older 3 G3 on a 32 x24 and that's just about right for sps
But G4 pro maybe be much brighter
Just my 2 cents

Oh baby!! Can't wait!!
Me too! I'm a little worried about moving my corals over, hoping it goes smoothly.

Thanks for your input! If I decide to move over to Radions, I'm really hoping that I can get away with 6. If not, then I'll be adding two more. I'm also going to be using at least two Reefbrite strips, possibly 3.

Considering the same switch....seems like these are really doing well on sps tanks

Nice! yeah, I've seen some tanks recently where corals were grown from frags into large colorful colonies under radions so I'm convinced they work. How many are you planning on using?

Eeeeeeeeeeee :D :D This tank is going to be EPIC mate!! I cannot wait to see what you do with it!

Any plans for fish changes/additions??

I am planning an upgrade to a 5x2 footprint and am planning on starting with 3, if I go this way.

I may just add some reef brites to my existing ati and call it a day.

Yeah, I'm nervous about the transfer, but I'm super excited! As you guys know, from my heavily stocked tank, I love fish. Acros are my first priority but I really do love and feel lucky to have all these beautiful fish in my system. That being said, I'm considering having a VERY low fish population in the new tank. Maybe only a few of my absolute favorites...and I do love Angelfish... Because I still want to keep all the fish I currently have in my tanks, I think I'm going to set up my current tank as a fish only and connect it to my new tank and frag tank. I might throw some gorgonians, softies, or macros in there just so the rocks aren't barren but we'll see.

I'll be interested to see what route you go. I've got ATIs and reefbrites right now and I think they'll be tough to beat. I'm just sick of changing bulbs and it's always fun to experiment and try something new.

I just added a blue xho on my 75 gal just to experiment and it IS a very nice compliment to the tried and true ati. Things have a surprising amount of juice too for how dim they look lol.

Awesome new display Conor, does it have center bracing that affects your light placement etc or anything else you should have told us about hiding under the wrap..........

How about tons of corals and tons of fish - just run tons of matrix/siporax as well ;)

Really looking forward to watching you set up your new scape, you had me at peninsula btw..........:love1:

I had a feeling u liked peninsula tanks! Your setup is what got me thinking of going peninsula style and shallower. It looks so easy to work on compared to what I have now.

The tank has two cross braces which have influenced my thoughts on lighting. It also has bracing on the bottom. My system will definitely have tons of fish, but the peninsula may not. I'm still not sure.

Just went through your thread, your insight in this hobby is impressive and your tank speaks for itself, amazing corals with great colors, never mind the beautiful angels you have.
Subbed and looking forward to your new build.
Good luck with the move.[emoji1360]

Congrats on the house and new tank, great dimensions!$
Thanks Ryan! I've had these dimensions in my head for a while now, can't wait to see it come to life.

Thanks for checking out my tank, and I appreciate the kind words!

Here's where I'm at so far with the new tank. I started the return pump 5 days ago and placed a couple test frags in it 2 days ago. So far so good, the acro I put in there (bali shortcake) is showing great PE and looking happy. I'll likely do one more final update on my current 190 and start a new thread for the new tank once I start moving more stuff into it.

Oh yeah! Getting close. Looking forward to it !
Me too! I'm really nervous about moving everything over. My current tank is at it's best right now, so it'll be tough ripping everything apart. Hopefully it'll all go smoothly. The only new addition to the tank will be the sand. Everything else will be from my current tank so there shouldn't be much of a cycle I'm thinking.
It's going to be sooooooo good Conor, can't wait for the treasures to start coming across mate :)
Thanks Andrew, I sure hope so. I've added a few more small corals to the tank and I'm gonna get a fish or two in there in the next couple days. If that goes well, I might just move everything else over at the same time.
