charter price went WAY TOO HIGH, might need to switch, what do you have?

this is for cable w/ premiums, HD, and internet

I dont need the phone service so I dont have it and dont need it from anybody

anyways, this is way out of my budget

does anyone have dish or directv or at&t?

I need HD and internet

i got directv and AT&T phone/internet. TV is like 62 a month with 2 receivers and tivo. no HD though. Phone/internet is like 60 bucks.

Call and complain, say you are going to switch, they will drop it back down.

Guaranteed. May also get a few movie channels thrown in for free. Every time my charter bill goes over 100 I call and they reduce it

buy directv dish through ebay. Have friend with direct activate new receiver your receiver. Give friend 5 bucks every month. It works. Did it for 3 years.

well, I got my old deal back for 3 months, then I'll lose my HBO, etc, but I didnt watch that anyways (except sopranos, which I have on DVD now)

so now Im sitting about $96 month

so that's alright, but I'll have to go through it all again next year

i would switch to att for dsl, but i am on the edge of were they offer dsl... it is too slow for my tastes... i needs my porn fast. i am thinking of going to dish for my tv/hd programming as well as thier satilite internet.... any one have that?

you can get a "metered line" from at&t for $7 a month plus tax and they have a $10 dsl, its like $22 total. then i got dishnetwork america's top 250 w/ HD dvr for $50 a month for the first 10 months then $60 a month for the next 10 months. So its like 80 a month with this setup, my charter bill was 120.

i had the same problem. Got tired of charter plus the "promise" of 150 HD channels in September. So i switched to Direct TV. I think the picture quality is better but I didnt really gain anything for saving money. When I called to cancel cable but NOT the internet----they raised my price on high speed internet. So I gave it a couple of days, then called charter back and verbally signed a year deal to knock the internet price down. I only get 3 free months of HBO, SHO, and skinemax but we never really watch them anyway. I also wanted the NFL package to watch all the games. So in the end---I didnt save any money, but got better quality picture, more HD channels coming, and the NFL package.

you usually get a better deal ordering online, i got 6 meg internet and dish network with dual tuner dvr so wife can record her shows while we watch tv in living room. there are good package deals for home phone, dsl, and dish.
