We just found out about this bill which has been introduced and is currently with a committee in Congress. As we read it, it would make our aquariums against federal law, for it would be unlawful to reproduce non-native species unless they were on the approved list. Imagine having to ask approval for everything in our tropical tanks. Forget about frag swaps.
My husband stumbled upon this last night while visiting Craigs List. I know many of you would be affected by this, and whether you think it is significant or not, you can do more searching and make your own decision.
