Check out this tank

you get the tanks, build the stands, put in the filtration, and sell it all to people, right? that seems like alot of hard work, do you have help? How do you do it? First you find a person who wants a tank, then go from there, ... ?

Here is pic of the tank a couple of months ago. Not sure why the colors look so funny, but in person the colors are even across the tank. Very healthy tank. My favorite piece is the efflo near the center.

My favorite piece is the maxi jet power head to the left. (lmoao)

Is there something wrong with the maxijet? THere were a couple of dead spots and the maxijets did the trick.

Skeeter-doc,

I usually get the customer first. Then I order a tank, work with the contractor and cabinet maker for a custom job, or buy a simple cabinet for the smaller jobs from the wame people that make my tanks, then design and install the filteration and lighting, fill with rock and start stocking. Unfortunately I am not a woodworker. Even if I was though, that would add a serious amount of time to a job and I would probably sub it out unless the price was right. Sometimes it is a PITA. Other times it works out quite smoothly. I recently hired on some help, but installations are mostly a solo deal. he helps with service on accounts. And I do not look for customers. All of my customers come to me via word of mouth or because they saw a tank they like somewhere.

No. there is nothing wrong with maxi jets. I have 4 of them in my current tank. I would just have expected something a little more upscale (like a Tunze) in a tank of that magnitude and price.
