Cheektowaga reef store robbed?

My mom just texted me that the saltwater store in Cheektowaga was robbed for 25k in corals? Anyone hear about this? Is that ARC? Never been there but thought that was the name of it.

I guess she just saw it on WGRZ.
 
Also seen the coverage on channel 2 at 5:30. Randy (ARC owner) was inverviewed as well.

I have to believe it won't be hard to catch these people. They obviously have to be saltwater/coral savvy and have the means to support the stolen goods. Not to mention this isn't exactly the type of goods you sell on the street corner. Hopefully, this comes to a quick end and ARC is compensated appropriately. - Mark
 
Holy cow! How!?! Who could accommodate all that to make it worth while? How they gonna move it to make it worth doing? That's just nuts!

True dat! Unless they are collectors and willing to commit grand larceny, they need to move the boosted goods. Reefkeeping is a pretty small world. Unless the stuff is in Cleveland by now...
 
The crime happened sunday night or early monday. They stole a large amount of coral, some LR, and the contents of the register. Hopefully the video will be posted on wgrz website soon. These guys seem like hobbyist with what they stole. Hopefully one of us can ID them.
 
what kind of idiots rob a reef store? its like they just walked into a police station waving a gun. theyll be found in no time. obviously they have been on these boards, either stalkin the forum or even posting

Wow, what a couple of a******s. I hope they catch them and I hope their punishment is a lot worse than what happened to the guy that stole from Pet Mart.

Seriously, I'd love to know if there is anything that we can do to help ARC.
