Chinese LED Lights

So looking at using same layout for LEDs as Eco tec pro units. Pro units Have a yellow and green. Anyone have units with a yellow and greed led?

Green has been available for awhile. Using 2-3 yellow LEDs would be experimental. Everyone loved how the new Radions looked at MACNA, so I will be using them in my next DIY build.

Not that I've heard.. I betting they are probably a month or two away since they said the LCD redesign caused the engineers
to delay working on the new lights.

Twilight makes pretty good lights, and their sunrise/sunset control is nice, but their white leds are nowhere near as bright as Evergrows. The fixture looks dimmer in comparison.

Why do you think that is?

Could I solder a few of my own custom emitters onto this light easily?

I tried that. I tried adding more whites, but I couldn't use any other LEDs aside from theirs, or the channel wouldn't light up. It wasn't very diy friendly.

Yea I'm real curious to know about the new 36" and 48" units bhaz mentioned .... I wanna know how many led per unit and a price and how long till there available

It won't be for awhile, and the largest size is only going to be 32". Too small for my tank, so Im going to try a DIY build with a touch screen :)

I see well then I agree not big enough... did I remember you saying that evergrow doesn't do cyan? Trying to figure out which colors I'm gonna use along with white blue violet and red .. cyan or green ?

Also Sam said he would send me extra optics to add to my d120 with no optics and 120 lenses for when I move it to an open top tank .... u have a d120 or have seen it I believe... how do the optics pop on? Looking at my d120 I dont see a clear sign of how it pops on the leds

I have a JBJ 28 Gal. I have a variety of coral. I am getting ready to order a D120 or the unit with the remote. I was wondering if someone would suggest a color layout before I order.

Some one awhile back in the old thread did a layout with variety of whites some reds and violets for an ever grow. If your here following can you please repost. Thanks.

I have a dumb question for owners of these lighting systems. It's not clear from the photos, and description doesn't say. Do these lights (T120 or 2040) have transparent cover over the LEDs? My concern is if there's a protection against salt water splashes fishes occasionally make.

Yes. There is a piece of plastic/acrylic protecting the LEDs.

Thanks! My tank is due for bulb changes (T5HOs). One set of bulbs cover prices of one of these units. I'm convinced these lights are economical way to replace my current lighting system, will look into getting a set.

I received two D120 units with this layout on Friday. So far I can't complain.

Here is a different view of the same layout.

I've tried but I can not get them looking anything close to what they really look like. Feel like if I posted pics it would be misleading.
