Chinese LED Lights

I've got to say how impressed I've been with Evergrow. On Monday I placed an order with them for 2 D120 units with custom layouts. I received the lights on Friday that same week. One of the units had an issue with the white channel not lighting up. Turned out to be a connector that got knocked loose during shipping. As soon as i notified them they instructed me how to correct the issue. I was a little apprehensive ordering from a company in China but their service, communication and product so far has been top notch.

thinking about ordering this same set-up.. do you have a pic of what it looks like on during the daytime you could post??? also i was tols to get the 90 degree op does your 120 overshine really bad??

I hang mine pretty close to the tank. I do get some overshine but in my opinion it's not too bad.

How big is your tank? Mine is 36 inch long. If any longer I would recommend two fixture and go the 90 degree op. Since I didn't want to get two I did 120 degree.

Yep. Great people, and they make awesome lights.

Even if someone is apprehensive of ordering direct from China, they have a few resellers in the US like Reefbreeders now.

The best thing about ordering direct is having your own led layout made though, and they ship really, really quick once they are made.

Its extremely easy as long as you have a soldering iron that can get hot enough. You literally just touch the solder pad on the led leg inside the fixture, pull a little, touch the other leg and pull a little and the led pops off.

Line up the new led, and touch the legs/pads. The board will "absorb" it in. Done.

I do not have anywhere local to be able to get a feel for color ratios and how to design an LED layout appealing to look at. I'm currently looking at picking up 2 of the EverGrow IT120's but have no idea where to start laying out a design and what colors to make everything look good? Right now I'm FOLR due to lack of adequite lighting but will be adding SPS & LPS after the upgrade so I appreciate any feedback as I'm ready to order as soon as we sort this.
