Chinese LED Lights

Doesn't that create a red spotlight effect since there's so few red LEDS?

Nope. There was no noticeable difference in the sand bed or rocks.

I cant stand the 120 degree angle over an open tank, because half of the light spills outside of the tank, and is useless.

Im running mine 8 inches from the water inside a canopy no optics. Would it benefit me to get 90 optics?

What do you think of the folowing layout with 90 degree optics for a 75g with a canopy.

If I got this right I think its a 1.5 B:W ratio which should be around 15,000K

28 Royal Blue
14 W3 = 8500k
4 W4 = 10000-14000k
4 violet (420)
3 Red (660)
2 Green

Thanks in advance!

Can anyone help with this? Id like to order these but want to make sure its going to look like what I want.

Does anyone have a solution for the fast clock in IT 120?

This is going to be interesting. The way I see it there will probably only be three ways to fix it since its most likely a coding issue.

  1. Return it to the seller and they will update it.
  2. Evergrow will send you a new board that you will have to install.
  3. If there is a standard comm port, Download firmware from them and update it yourself.

The LED fixture that I am looking at is the 36" long with 36X3W bulbs with 90degree optics.

I'm just not sure how to choose my bulbs to get the correct/best light spectrum.

Its for a reef tank with all sorts of LPS, schrooms, soft, zoas... except SPS.

It is being offered with 3W Bridgelux LED's

They are suggesting the following:
18pcs - 14K White
10pcs - 460nm Blue
6pcs - 453nm Blue
2pcs- 427nm Purple

Should replace any of the current selection?
Should I remove some 14K and some 10K or even some 18K?
Any inputs are greatly appreciated.

I guess I'll be the guinea pig for these light fixtures.
They also have a 36" long with 64x3W bulbs but cost twice as much and I think it will be too much light for a 46g bowfront.

Please let me know. Thanks!

**PS** Sorry for the tooth brush on the left, I was cleaning my tank and had a chance to took some pictures. lol **

Over I'm satisfied with the product. My tank is a 40gallon breeder with built in overflow box. 36 inches long. Since I went with only one LED fixture I got the 120 degree angle. I believe anything longer than 36inch would require 2 LED fixture to have good lighting. I switch from T5 to LED due to the energy efficient. Another reason is less bulbs to change. This fixture is dimmable with moonlight build in.

I went with

24 Royal blues, 4 Violets
23 Cool Whites, 2x REd, 2x UV

I don't think option 3 is available..I hope option two is available. It will be a bummer if the clock run fast 5 mins /hr. You are talking 2 hours in a day. That is a lot of off :(

The Apollo SolarBlast Dimable LED 120 looks pretty good on their site and is contollable with the Apex Controller and they are assembled in the USA. Do any of these lights on this thread offer this Apex controlability?

None of the lights are Apex controllable as of now, but some of them have their own built in sunrise/sunset controllers with the same led setup as the Apollo for $210-300.

The Solarblast Dimable and controllable with the Apex is $399. So its a bit more, but is Apex controllable. I wonder which is better for corals?
