Which channel should the reds greens and violets go on? It seems alot of companies put them on the white but I personally would think they should go on with the blue channel .... your blues are on more and when just the blues are on your not getting the extra color out of your coral if your reds greens and violets are on the the white channel I would think...

What's everyone's thoughts on that?

Right now my reds/greens are on my white channel while my violets/uvs are on the blue channel. I want to add green to the blue channel to see if it maybe enhances the color a bit, nothing else. I thought with the violets/uv's that the blue "windex" view would soften but not by much. I like the blue but still not too blue if that makes sense. I think the reds/greens are really color however, I have seen red/blue/green leds produce a "white" when all together. I'm still learning about these leds and colors significance so for me it is just trial and error.

Yea i know exactly what you mean, my blue switch on my.d120 is 19 blues 4 violets 4whites (the whites break up the Windex look and make a nice color for before and after the light is full power...

I get the windex pop effect blue from my reef brite which is first light on last light off on my tank ....

So far how reliable were the Led systems like the IT2040 or similar without remote control , i`m setting the tank next month and need lights , any long time users of any of the products.

Has anyone received the replacement part for the evergrow clock issue? I got the part from them but one of the connector on the top left corner goes from 3 pin to 4 pin. The orientation also reversed. Does anyone know how to connect this?

I got mine in Fri. Sunny said to plug it on the first 3 pins. I tried it & nothing's blown up yet!

Any thoughts on color changes?
These are 120 degree leds (right?) and I'm considering doing 90 degree lenses on the 47 white & blue leds and leaving the others as 120 degree to spread the red, green, violet & UV light better. Any thoughts on that idea?

I just ordered three of these units for my tank. I am hoping they will work out good. The color spectrum looks like it will be good!

I'm planning to try to copy a Radion. Any idea what I should use to replace the cree XT-E cool white 5w that they use? Should I go with 2 cool white 3w bridgelux?

Any one know where you can get parts such as ballast(drivers) for some of the chinese fixtures. I have had one of the company not honour there warranty and now am in the need of drivers. I have the 4g eshines. Great company until something goes wrong. Out of 6 fixture between me and friends 3 have had failures in under 8 months. The company will not return any form of communication. With the help of an electrician we determined the failure being one of the drivers. The leds are fine. These fixtures are 36 3w bridgelux so 18 leds per channel.

Every time I hear something about eshine its bad news .... sorry to hear

This is the 3rd or 4th time I've heard of people having problems and eshine ignoring or refusing to fix it

If you are ordering from EG then they are NOT 120 degree leds as they were previous. They are 90 degree leds on the D120 now

Just purchased two units of the Reefbreeders controllable LED's. Looking forward to getting them and hoping for good results. Im a bit concerned about the transition from my 150WX2 halides to the new units. I dont want to fry or loose my coral. Do you guys have suggestions for a start up schedule to minimize coral shock? i would start from 25% and increasing it slowly. like 5% per day and observe the coral.
i had a big lesson that i played the light up and down widely when I switched to a controllable LED. half of SPS died.

Thanks for the advice. That is exactly what Im afraid of happening! Sorry for your loss. Did everything else rebound? How is your tank doing today with the Leds?

I'm not getting them from EG but an importer (AJM Reef LED) here in the US. I don't know who he is getting them from. But he only stocks lites with Bridgelux or Cree leds. He says these are Bridgelux and 120 degree. I'm also looking into the IT2080, 240w, 99 led lite with the built in controller. If he can get it from EG at a good price I may go for 2 of those rather than 4 of the D120's.

I'm not a light expert, but IMO, I seriously doubt that anyone, especially someone presently running 150w MH, should 'ramp up' LEDs from 25% to 50% in 5 days.... Probably not even 5 weeks!

Hi, received the new LCD from Evergrow with some pics as explanation. I'm a little bit confused about the moonlight connection. Someone that as already done the replacement could help me with some details? For example how many cables i've to plug into the new one, same as the old one (three)?

I would also turn down the channel B (white) to minimum until the polyps are start opening again.

I just ordered one 2080 directly from EG. The lead time is longer (about 20 days). It costs me $330 + shipping. Customized layout.
