Chinese LED Lights

Just received my twilight fixture. Every looks good and functions. Just have to figure out the best way to hang it with the hardware that came with it. Cant wait to get my tank setup even more now. Damn honey do list is holding me back.

Some people mount angle brackets to the wall and hang it from there. I made a hanger out of 3/4in conduit.

If I had it to do over again on ordering my 3 D120s, I would not order any UV or Violet LEDs, and would have gotten more warm whites in combination with a few red/greens instead. All of my my violets and uv emitters don't seem to have much output or effect and their internal lenses have all turned black within a couple of months which has got to reduce effectiveness/efficiency a great deal.. JMTC & GL!

Do you have any pictures of your setup? I found pictures of your tank but they only show the lights but not how they are hung. Thanks.

is it possible to order somewhere the IT2080 with cree leds?I am thinking of this lay out for 18-20K
26 7,5K;43 450nm;10 480nm;6 430nm;3 405nm; 6 660nm;2 630nm;3 520nm?

Are there others who has the same problem with these violets-uv leds?

Here are a couple shots of my hanger setup. I used a couple pieces of 3/4" EMT conduit and painted them with a hammertone black spray paint. To attach them to my stand I used some unistrut and 3/4" conduit clamps. If that is not an option for you, I have seen people just attach them to the wall making sure that they found a stud.

I'm pretty sure you can order the IT2080 from Evergrow with Cree leds, but it costs extra. It was like $50 more for the D120 (don't quote me on that, my memory sucks), so on the IT2080 I would guess it's more like $100 extra. I didn't even ask, I'm getting mine with the standard Bridgelux leds. I've seen a D120 with no lenses (120 degree optics) and it had a PAR of 300+ at 20 inches.

A couple of weeks ago I got a quote from EG on 10 D120's and 2 IT2080's in one shipment. The D120 with lenses was $105 and the IT2080 was $310 plus about $35 each for shipping. I have to go back and ask for a new quote as the numbers have changed. I now need 6 D120, 2 IT2040 and 7 IT2080 and I hope they can do a little better.

perhaps it is possible to make a group sale?I also want to order 2X IT2080.
Kind regards

Frank

They only do goup buys if all the lights ship to one location. It's best to try and do it thru your local club or possibly with a LFS. I started one just by posting up the idea on our local club website and we now have 9 or 10 people in the group buy.
