If only you told me yesterday. :( I went last night and bought a HOB filter for my 20. Oh well I guess now I have what I need to qt fish before I bring them in my DT to reduce this from happening again. I really do appreciate the offer though.

Little update. My algae scrubber wasn't producing enough growth for me (which im sure was due to poor flow) so I decided to take that out and I put in a phosphate reactor. My phosphates were a bit high when I checked them yesterday ~.5 (redsea). I'll check again in a few days to see where my level is. I also tried to catch my fish with the 2liter trap but that's not happening. I was able to catch the clown fish with the net and have him in the 20gal. Ive also been using garlic power when I feed, the fish don't show any signs of ich yet but I know it's still in my system and don't want another outbreak. Should I keep the bottle in there and still try to catch them or should I just let them be?

How it try to catch them: I prep the food like normal and use a spot feeder to put the food inside the bottle. They nip at the little bit that comes out but don't like to get close to the bottle. They have yet to eat a regular amount in a few day and I'm getting worried that they don't have enough nutrition.

This is the start of my canopy.

How the light sits

I left enough space to slide the light from front to back.

Chris, why make the canopy so tall if the lights will sit near the bottom? Also, leaving the lights in that location will make it hard to clean the tank. Just my opinion.

Gillguy - I plan to add a shelf so that I can keep most of my supplies inside. Yes it's difficult to clean the tank but I will have to remove the light to clean. I'm keeping it low because I worry about my sps getting enough light because of how deep my tank is. If removing my light to clean keeps the tank happy I will have to suck it up lol.

The shelf is a great idea. Did not think of it.

The only thing I'm not too fond of is that I have to make it removable in order to take the light out. It's not a BIG deal but I would much rather have it permanent.

You could make it permanent if you make one of the side a door and slide the light out the side.

The best success I had with Ich, was not doing anything but feeding the fish more often and keeping them in a stress free environment. If your fish are eating and there is little aggression in the tank, it may go away on its own.

That's what I'm attempting to do. It was very difficult to catch all the fish. So I am just hoping for the best and that's why I gave it a go at making my own food. All the fish eat amazing.

I got around to installing a BRS dual reactor that I picked up from someone on the forums.

Also, do you think that I can put some kind of macro in my overflow box? Since it still gets some light and isn't in the main part of the DT.

Agree with Mike on this.
