AMazing tank cant wait for this one I almost missed it

  Hate to tell you, this isn't a small build that will be done and over with tomorrow... You didn't almost miss anything ;)

Mike, would running a low wattage heater through the concrete help? I can't speak intelligently enough to discuss it, but I know a lot of businesses do that. Zero idea on the cost.

dude... where are you neighbors..?

awesome tank...

They are on either side. We only have a half acre lot, but there are alfalfa fields all behind us.

No. updates. Tank is sitting in carport in crate. We've been busy moving all of our other tanks to our house. we also have a 220 cube, 120, 72 bowfront, two 60 gallon frag tanks, and 6 20 gallon clown breeding tanks. We used the sump that came with the big tank to plumb all of these together for the moment.

we had been busy the past month before that remodeling this house. it had no flooring, and reeked of cat pee. thats why we got a good deal on it.

and my boxer had a litter of puppies and those have been yet another full time job. I'll work on pictures of the existing tanks this week along with a few cute puppy pictures in the mix.

as far as setting up the tank we need to find out what needs to be done with the concrete pad it will be sitting on.

not sure of the max load but how about those pre made lightweight concrete slabs they put under generators and air conditioners these days? Won't have to pour concrete, they are pretty cheap, and you can put them down and use them immediately.

after some input on someone who knows more about concrete than us. Since the house is 15 years old they figure that the slab has done all of the settling it is going to do. We should be ok with how it is now. There is a stress crack at the end of the pad, but the concrete is all still level. We are going to try to get the steel bought for the stand quickly as prices are going up weekly. that way we at least have it ready.

We are almost done moving all of the other tanks over to the house. Like I said we used the sump that came with the tank and I must say that a starphire sump is pretty sweet!

Pictures to follow. Promise

Tagged and along for the ride. Im down that way every once and a while I just might have to stop by and check it out or give you hand if you need it.

We're definitely going to need lots of hands when it goes to be moved onto the stand. This sucker is heavy!
