I just got a crocea off someone for free cause it did not look to good. I have very little info about what is wrong with it other than its bleached and has not opened up in my tank yet. It was under halides before as it it is now. Does bleaching occur with pinching mantls or are they not related? I was thinking about fw dip? I will get some pics up later today.

I would use the coke bottle method to feed it. Damn, that looks pretty bad! And you need to turn it so its not on its side. good luck

that looks pretty bad!

I would have to agree with that statement. It looks very bleached out. What kind of lights was it under before you got it and what kind of lights is it under now?

before it was under 250 watt 20ks and now it is under 250w de 10k. I know it does not look good I was hoping to help it

definitly feed it dts, looks like a lot of zoanthelie SP the photosynthesis "critters" jump out....so the live phyto will help keep it alive untill the zoanthellie sp starts to repopulate the clam mantel...not the most scientific explanation but its the gist...

put it in the bowl last night and it filtered alot of phyto out in about 20min. So hopefuly if I keep it up the clam will pull through.
