Clown egg hatching time!

My clarkii pair have been laying eggs almost every 2 weeks for nearly a year. I can usually tell when they are about to hatch, and it always happens just after lights out. I know the pics were terrible, but really caught the swarm at the right time tonight. I hate they always become fish food, but would love to find a local that raises them.

But what to do then with the hundreds of little clarkii? One hatch could easily supply all stores of the SF Bay Area for a year...

How many can you sell a month?

The pair of clarkii I had before was able to produce over 2000 larva a month and I was able to raise at a minimum 90% of a hatch...
If they are selling that good I may need to get back into breeding them...

Everything alive in your tank eats them. Mom, dad, most all of your fish as well as corals and anemones. Too bad it's only good for one feeding as by the next day most all of the fry will be gone.

We are limited on stores around here but can usually sell around 80 a month, more depending on how far i want to travel.

Ive only raised clarkies once from another reefer and the trasnfer didnt go well so i was only able to get around 150.

I raised 800 from one hatch - that's 10 month worth of supply.
Though my pair would produce at a minimum 2000 eggs a month (full grown clarkii may raise that to 3000 - 4000) - probably enough to supply half if not all of the US.

Do you guys consider clarkii aggressive? Compared to other clowns (not maroons). As in will multiple siblings kill each other off or has a chance to bond?

In comparison not as aggressive as banggai cardinals... Some of my banggais are so mean that the dottybacks hide from them.
Previously one of my females also kicked some of my percula out of their flowerpots to take them for themselves.

The issue with clarkii is that they get large - just by their size they are intimidating.
