Clowns are now breeding.

I noticed the male started to attack me every time I put my hands in the tank close to their anemone. This started happening about 3 months ago. I'm assuming they're constantly laying eggs. Will this continue? I'm currently setting up a breeding station to try to raise some in the future. I know these eggs will hatch soon and not have a chance to survive. Here's a pic of the eggs I just spotted today.

Are you sure it's the male that's attacking you, and not the female? Typically she relegates the male to tending to the nest.

Most clowns that have been together for a while will breed. They don't have much else to do! So yes, they'll continue to breed as long as you keep optimal water conditions and they aren't harassed or stressed.

To optimize your results, it's best to put a tile or flower pot into the tank near the nem and wait until the females starts to lay on/in it. The photo shows a nest that's not tight, nor does it have many eggs. I would also fatten up the female with a diet of high quality food. LRS Fertility Frenzy is a good option. I use it and have seen my nest size increase tremendously. Once shes lays on a flatter surface the egg mass should get tighter and even possibly bigger.

How old are they/how long have they been together ? Just out of curiosity , but congrats !

I've had them for about 15 months. They were not paired at the time. Not sure of their age but they were much smaller when I got them.

What type of tile do I need and can I put both a tile and a flower pot in the breed tank? What size pot? 6 or 8 inch pot? And is the tile a regular bathroom type tile? Concerned about contaminants.

I got a ceramic clay pot from Walmart and stuck it straight in the tank...seems to be fine
