To my surprise, another onyx pair just spawned tonight :) They are doing this in a 12 gallon NanoCube. So this is proof, you DO NOT need a large tank to get clowns to breed. Wild Caught pair.

Update 1/26/07 SPAWN! :) :) My second onyx breeding pair now :)

We never said you couldn't. I just like giving them more room.

Did I read somewhere that the only known source of wild Onyx was illegal to collect from?

Or was the Black Occelaris?

well the soloman islands where allot of the onyx are from was in some kind of civil war but that is all over now

Okay, apparently I read something else.

Part of the range of black ocellaris is in an area where they are illegal to catch, but there they are found in places outside that resticted area. Unfortunately, those areas have some of the highest concentrations of salt water crocodiles in the world. One of the main collectors of black ocellaris was killed by a croc in the Darwin area last year.

Woah! really? do you have any sort of article on that? thats just crazy!

Salt water croccodiles are bigger and much more aggresive than freshwater crocodiles (Discovery channel :-))

orion, you can do better than that :) i think half of what is in my brain is from the discovery channel :)

danger to life. since when does that deter people from making money? :)
