Just wondering if anyone with an established and healthy gig has gone thru a lighting change.
I recently converted from an 8bulb 48" t5 to pacific sun triton s led's. I've been slowly increasing the light intensity and lowering the lamps to acclimate everything. So far the response from everything has been great, no massiv e growth spurts or anything, but all the lps look are as open and big as ever, sps are showing decent PE, and my gig looks good too.
What I don't know is how to read any signs of stress or issues w the nem as it relates to light. The gig has been stationary in the corner now for several months, for a while he walked around one rock formation, in circles looking for a good spot. I finally figured out that it just didnt like to be blasted w flow. So anyway, he's been nth is spot for a while. It's weird tho, his foot is anchored on the underside of a base rock, and he stretches his column up at least 6-8" before opening up to the led sun gods...
. I'm more used to seeing it resting flat, and really wide open than stretched up. Is this normal? Is it just looking for more light?
It gets bits of food daily and an occasional piece of fish or shrimp, it's feeding response is normal and quick.

You can kind of see it here..
