Converting from t5 to led w gigantea

Just wondering if anyone with an established and healthy gig has gone thru a lighting change.
I recently converted from an 8bulb 48" t5 to pacific sun triton s led's. I've been slowly increasing the light intensity and lowering the lamps to acclimate everything. So far the response from everything has been great, no massiv e growth spurts or anything, but all the lps look are as open and big as ever, sps are showing decent PE, and my gig looks good too.
What I don't know is how to read any signs of stress or issues w the nem as it relates to light. The gig has been stationary in the corner now for several months, for a while he walked around one rock formation, in circles looking for a good spot. I finally figured out that it just didnt like to be blasted w flow. So anyway, he's been nth is spot for a while. It's weird tho, his foot is anchored on the underside of a base rock, and he stretches his column up at least 6-8" before opening up to the led sun gods...:). I'm more used to seeing it resting flat, and really wide open than stretched up. Is this normal? Is it just looking for more light?
It gets bits of food daily and an occasional piece of fish or shrimp, it's feeding response is normal and quick.

You can kind of see it here..

I think you will be fine with LED's as lot's of folks have successfully kept Gigs under LED's. I am familiar with the Triton lamps and do not think you will have any problems with too much light. As long as your corals are OK you should be able to run your lamp at full intensity and keep the Gig happy. If you are ramping up slowly be on the look out for any signs of bleaching. Long before that I am sure your Gig would move around and or up looking for more light if it wasn't getting enough where it is.

I wouldn't worry about it either. My gig did fine when I moved from 250 watt halides to a pair of Gen 1 Radions. Your SPS will stress before the gig, especially since if the gig isn't comfortable, it'll move.

I have a gig and hadoni in a 90 gallon under Reef bright LEDs and they are doing great. In fact my Hadoni has actually been coloring up even more since I got the LEDS.

my gigs looked better under my leds and switched to 250w mh to try and get better color out of my sps.... which not noticing that much of a difference so i will be swotcjing back to LEDs for the gigs...

You change your mind more often than my wife! Which LED's you going with?

I've done this ... went from an 8-bulb T5 setup to 2 Kessil A350W's and everything is still going great (including my green gig!)

Have not tried it yet, I put LEDS on my 125 ( getting that tank set up ) i have 2 250W MH over my 75gl with my GIG.
When I am 100% it will be fine ill switch over the 75 as well.
