and a gem tang

Congrats!! I have one of these guys as well - Looks very similar to the one pictured. One of my favorites for sure!

Anything in particular you can tell me about this species as far as temperament and maybe anything else you think might be noteworthy?

I snatched up this beauty last night - my first buy from DD.
I hope it's a female to go with my male.

^ that is one of my favorites too. I really regret not jumping on one of the juveniles they put up a while ago.

The Juveniles are not seen nearly as much. I have seen a total of 3 of them come up for sale in the past year or so from DD. Haven't seen the juvs available anywhere else.

With the 15% off, the gem tang is a cheap as you will find one. Just $2294.15:bounce1::bounce1:

Brian at Reefeise has one for $1995 and much smaller than the one on DD. Well I'm assuming much smaller since DD doesn't say how large the fish is.

Neither are fish, but the gorgonian I just got today from DD is about 8" which is what was listed. The anemone however is double edging on triple the size I expected (which is a bonus for me) but whoever measured it must have been lost. Or blind.
I also got a trio of dartfish from DD a while back, and if memory serves me correctly, they were listed as 3 1/4" - 3 3/4" but one was significantly smaller, I'd say in the two inch range (and it didn't make it).

Well the anemone is acceptable I suppose, I'm sure they measured it correctly at the time, it just wasn't happy when they did the measurement.

Breeders like to empty out their tanks to make room for the next batch. And maroons are especially space consuming as you can't keep them all together in one tank like other clowns.

Worked out great for me in the end! I was just (pleasantly) surprised when I pulled it out of the bag. Been in the QT for a few hours now and I'd have to say it's 4 times the size listed.
