Copps Angelfish & Acro Dominated Reef in HD

Absolutly unbelievable!!!!

Now we need a FULL write-up from john on all his systems! That tank didn't contain many of the incredible fish he owns and I'm dying to see them! Please John, Please! Maybe a video of each of the tanks that way it will be easy for you to do and we can watch them over and over!!!

Copps your tank is amazing! I'm just glad my computer and my tank are in separate rooms! (My fish might get jealous!LOL) Being both an angelfish and Acro fan, I really enjoyed watching that video! thanks for sharing!

Okay. I have to ask. Has this tank been TOTM yet? If not, how do we nominate it? Surely it's been TOTM and I just missed it, right?

I do not think it has been TOTM yet. In fact thus is the first video I gave seen if the tank. John tends to be rather elusive in FTS pics, at least from what I have seen on the boards....

I would love to see more pictures of all your tanks Copps!!!!

This one in the video is truly amazing in terms of both fish and corals.

John had his tank featured as Tank of the Month a few years/back, but at the rate John aquires new fish he is long overdue for a current TOTM!

crowded for my tastes but the selection is nice.
copps, what kind of lighting do you use?

the tanks probably 200 gal+ but with all the coral growth theres like 5 gallons of water in there lol:lolspin:

Many of my "rare" specimens tend to be deepwater or subtropical, and so are not kept in this tank... this system I run between 76 and 78...

With the little spare time I have away from the wife, kids and tanks I tend to post fish stories here in the reef fishes forum as that is my major passion these days... but I will post some other tank shots in this thread coming up...

Six years ago I had a small 65 gallon featured in September of '04 here as TOTM... I'll post some shots of that next...

anybody know what size that tank is? that thing is inspiring.

This display is a standard 180... although the entire system has multiple tanks and totals over 500 gallons...

Over this 180 I run 3x400 watt 14k ushios supplemented with five VHO URI 160 watt actinics...

i believe that is his 292 gallon reef...

The 292 is a fish only in the kitchen... pics are coming of that too...

Pics coming... thanks guys... :)

The room it was in in our old apartment in the summer of '04... we had a house built after that and in December of '04 we moved in and I set up the system that includes the 180 shown at Glassbox...

Here are some shots of my 10 gallon "kitchen nano" I set up almost 10 years ago just after getting our apartment after getting married... a new reefkeeping book coming out will profile this system... I kept acros and tridacnids thriving and growing in it over PCs... :) The display was the sump in essence and I put a refugium above it... :) Three of the four fish I had in it are still with me today...

I have always enjoyed making tanks look larger than they are... this 10 gallon had 180 gallons worth of ideas in it... :)

Two 54 corners I currently have placed in a half circle... this system is getting broken down though now to appease the Mrs. My wife is amazingly smart, beautiful and tolerant... so I try and throw her a bone here and there! :)
