I'll be the first to tell you that I still have tons to learn about this hobby. In fact, I learn something new every day.
I have the added benefit of being with the aquarium for a better part of the work day, but also the added challenge of not being around on nights, weekends, and school vacations.
I've found that some corals will thrive and grow in my system, while others slowly and inexplicably (to me) wither away.
That being said, it's often nice to see how far some things have come. Here's a few before/after shots of some of the tank specimens:

And this photosynthetic gorgonian I got from Gary. Started off as a 3" frag:
It's good to look at photos like this when I feel like I've had a bad day of reefing.
