Couple of questions about my tank? Apologies :(

It's a 55. This pic is from May, I have a bit of algae rn and the corals are hiding cause I did a summer internship out of town. But I don't think anything is all the way dead so hopefully I'll be back on track and take more recent pics soon :)

I forgot to say stocking slowly saved money too. Not every coral will make it, and you learn them as you go. If you have an idea ahead of time for all the fish and coral, but add them slow, it seems to go easier.
Wow pretty tank! Great job :) thank you again

And one more quick question...

I noticed on other threads people have there powerheads facing up towards the surface of the water...(here is a pic. of my tank) would I be able to do that to my power head on the left? I would move it more up and towards the back, aiming the water at the surface.

I don't really like how it looks right in the center of that side, it is too bulky. I want to do something about it to make my tank look nicer. Do I really even need it? Could I just reposition that one other power head or this one and take out the other?

As you can see right now I have the water going in a circular motion and the skimmer and hob filter make a lot of bubbles...which I don't really like. Is it too much with all of this? Is it too much bubbles too?

I really need your help on making all this equipment in the tank look nice, please and thank you!

I'd move that big one to the back, yeah.
You need enough current in the tank so that poop and food don't sit on the sand and rot, they need to blow into the filters so the filter can catch them. The power heads are rated by gph - gallons per hour, I think 30-50 times the tank volume is normal. So for me 55 x 40=2200 so i got three 850gph.

Then you put them in the tank so that the surface of the water is moving, that's how fresh oxygen gets in for the fish to breathe. I have mine set low and pointed up so therea not dead spots on the sand and the stale water gets pushed upward. The water flow is really diff in every tank because of how it bounces off the rocks and all, you just play around with it until it's right.

OK so you think moving the one on the left back and have it aimed at the surface of the water will be ok? Can I just move it back, I don't have to move it up or down? And how do you tell if it isn't working, where you have them for water movement?

Did I get too strong and too long lights? My tank is 30 inches long 19 inches deep and 15 inches wide where the highest part of the glass is the tank is a 36 gallon bowfront I got the marsaqua 24" led could I have gotten the 16" one I plan to have a mixed reef

Post a link to the exact unit you bought. I think I posted this I one of your other threads that marsaqua doesn't make a reef capable light in 24" , they're either 16 or 32". I'm afraid you got their low powered LEDs that say they're for reefs, but really aren't.

Yeah, that's the 32" model. More than you'll need, but they'll grow pretty much anything.
Could I have just gotten the 16"/smaller one? I wasted my money? Do you think people would buy it if I put it like on Craigslist or something for the same price and just go ahead and get the other one? Is there any way to return it to eBay before it arrives for the same price? :(

I haven't gotten it yet it is still through the shipping process and I think it is still allowing me to return for full price. Is the 16" thing a better choice?

I'd rather have too much light than too little. You'll be fine and who knows, you may end up upgrading, and the lights will be good for up to a 3' tank.

You can always create shade by tucking something under a rock shadow (bubble coral, pretty well alone of stonies, likes less light). Or just setting a certain coral deeper down.
