Thanks Kip. Unfortunately, you will lose quite a bit of corals. I spaced my slow growing pieces together like the oregon tort and some of the wild pieces I have. The nice thing is the fish seem to really enjoy the wide open space.
i have been pulling some colonies out slowly and putting them in my big sump in the garage (put some seios in the sump and a 400w halide over it)
i hope to do the process as slow as possible to minimize losses, when i get down to pulling the rock... i am sure the disturbance will be stressfull....
... but yep... i am prepared to be a little heartbroken
I think no matter what anyone does, they are never satisfied. The only thing difficult is taking pictures. The light intensity is different between the levels of rock and proves quite difficult to even capture the true color. Pictures almost come out faded. Here is a few more for you all.
Thanks downset. Actually if I you look past the corals pointing toward the center, the opening is pretty big. If I could, I'd like to get it even bigger as that squamosa is getting extremely large. It's definetly one of my favorite clams.
