Craigslist fish for sale?

Anyone heard anything about this seller that i see on Craigslist? my rimless is complete, and was going to picked up few fishes ( probably 15 fishes and acclimate all at once) from them. Any idea? thanks

Is it a good idea to introduce 15 fish to a new tank all at once? That's gotta be a BIG tank, either way... unless it's like a school of chromis.

what size is your tank? really a bad idea to introduce that many at once. Maybe 1-2 then let the bioload adjust for a few weeks before adding more. Just my thoughts

i have 120ish gallons with a 40 gallons breeder. APEX for controller, For the sump is 40 breeder, itech 200 for skimmer, eheim 1262 for return, ati powermodule with cree led for supplement along the side, 2 vortech mp40w es, looking for a nano wavebox to go next to the overflow box and planning to do 2 part dosing. I been running the tank empty for the past 2 months with 2 chromis. I know i shouldnt do this but i figure is cheaper to get all teh fish at once. I have done it before with my old tank in dallas. I recently moved from dallas and the LFS are pricey with their fish. In Dallas we are very spoil with our livestock so i was just wondering if this seller is legit. My fish list is yellow tang, powder blue, and clown tang, 5 anthias, multicolor angel, copperband, pair of true perc or pair of black clown, regal angel, mystery wrasse, and linkia starfish, and pair of purple gobies.

You're risking your entire tank by purchasing fish that have just been flown in from overseas. A few of these fish may have ich or marine flukes. These parasites may turn out to be devistating for you tank. There is absolutely no way that I would ever buy fish like this unless I felt like playing russian roullet.

I have some concerns also with your stocking list in a fairly new tank. The 2 that stand out r the copperband and linkia. Afraid they will not have anything to eat and starve to death

i have great luck with copper band in the past. i have 2 and both lived for longer than 2 years and the reason i am letting them goes before because of relocating. The fish i choose i try to pick the very best and healthiest among the bunch. Ichs are extremely hard to get rids in tangs and once it in ur system it alway going to be in ur system. I dont wan to go through quarantine, my wife going to kill me. I stated earlier that my tank been running for 2 months with carbon and m7 dosing. If i can get a good deal on the fish i will let you know how it goes. but is this seller legit can anyone confirm? Thanks. i am sorry if sound stubborn, i do care for the health of these fishes but i seen people in my forum in dallad did it, and i done it before. If i tell yall my old tank and fish list i probably get alot of flame. But let just say my old 150 have 32 fishes and it was stable for a long time until i relocated.

+1 on steamboats worries which is my only concern on adding everything at once, other wise watch n watch n watch n test n test n test and watch n test some more so the parameters stay put and dont bounce all over the spectrum causing pain, algae, heart ache n such

I saw this seller too and was curious who it is..I sold these guys 15 aquariums a lil while ago and they told me they were going to do this retail internet thing..Let us know if their is quality..I would hope they are quarantining the fish already .Once you sell a couple of disease fish your rep. kinda goes down hill..
Celebrity I am wondering why you don't want to QT..Seems like you have invested a lot of money in to this tank I would hate for you to have disease in a tank like this and not have a really good way of getting rid of it since you are doing LR..
I would spend the extra money at the LFS for fish already on copper or invest in a QT tank..

Hey Reign, been there done that. I told my wife i wont set up a tank, and if i do i make it neat and clean. She already already hate me for having RODI line running to my ato resevior, drill hole through ceiling, bunch of container in the garage. If she see another tank i dont think i hear the last of it. I used to dip everything i buy, quarantine my fish, did everything i could and there are some corals that couldnt handle after the dip and some that make it. I have many success in the past with the way i do it that why i will continue to do what i do. I went down to LCF and i see some fishes are in worse shape than the guy i see in craigslist. I havent bought anything yet because i am waiting to see how his fish do in a few day or weeks. I payed 15-20 for an anthias back in Dallas and 30 for a medium blue tang at LFS. I dont think is justify paying 150 for 2 anthias and 1 blue Tang at our LFS. I will talk to my wife about setting quarantine but with a job that require constant traveling i dont think is a good idea to set up a quarantine at this point.

You know, I run a small local business (non-fish related) and you'd be surprised at what I'm willing to do to make a larger sale. Talk to the owners, see if they will work with you on a larger stocking list and maybe some kind of pre-payment deal.

You may pay a bit more than online, and a bit less than their listed retail, and in the end you'll have fish you know were QT'd for at least some period of time, you'll help the local economy, and get better fish.

Well the fish came and they are healthier than i thought. I bought a pink tail trigger and a blue hippo tang for now. He told me i can pick up the rest of the fish stock when my tank is ready. I picked up a blue tang that been there for 3 weeks and a pink tail. i will upload video later.
