*d2mini's new 200g Reeftastic Build*

Ya, I'll definitely do a video once the setup is complete.
For now you have to deal with crappy photo sneak peaks. ;)

Amazing! I'd love to see it in person once it's stocked. What kinda light are you going to use over your frag tank? Another Radion? LOL

More pics!
Things are getting fine tuned and cleaned up and smaller projects are getting done.
Still lots to do though!

Here's another overall shot of the "fish room".
The big gray Brute trashcan is my ATO container with Kalkwasser.
I can turn a valve and fill it straight from the RO/DI container or turn the valve the other way and send the RO/DI water straight to the upper container of my mixing station. Both containers have mechanical float valves to turn off the RO/DI when full.
You can also see the Profilux Computer and 3-Pump Doser on the shelf on the back wall.
This will control pretty much everything in my tank, and I can already access it from any web browser. Just need to set up email alerts. Right now it's running my Auto Top Off and Auto Water Change, as well as the system pump, skimmer, mangrove lamp, and heater. I also have the Vortech controller but haven't hooked that up yet.

Here you can see I installed a Panasonic FV-11VQ5 WhisperQuiet 110 CFM Ceiling Mounted Fan. This vents into the attic and all I have left to do is run the vent hose. We mounted a switch on the wall under the wire shelves to turn it on and off but it's just running non-stop and you can't even hear it. To tell it's running you have to go up into the attic and walk right up to it.
And I installed the 10" shop light over the Mangrove tank.

This is a top down view of the mangrove/frag tank.
Mangroves will be on the left and frags on the right.
Went back to Tractor Supply today and got a large feed bowl to contain the sand for the Mangroves. Ordered 50 Red Mangroves today, so should have those later this week.
You can also see the Digital Powerbar for my Profilux mounted on the wall behind, which is controlling the main system pump, skimmer, light over the mangroves, and heater. Two sockets left for future use.

This shows the egg crate that will help support the magroves for a while until they can root into the sand and support themselves.
The shop light now comes on at 10pm and off at 8am.

And finally another shot of the mixing station.
We installed a switch on the front to turn the pump on and off, rather than having to plug it in every time. Much easier and safer.

Dennis

I am no expert, but I understand that you need to clean the mangroves leaves regularly. Some guys even set up a misting system to automate this. Are you thinking the same? Great update BTW!

DHyslop,
what picture are you talking about? I don't see what you're talking about.
I think he means the shot where the egg crate is covering the sand.

Everything is sort of automated. This is going to be a superb tank.
I had the auto water change setup for my 130 cube and it was AWESOME. So that was a must have but I wanted to improve on it a bit.

Ya, you need to keep the leaves misted so you don't get salt build up. They are not really a true saltwater plant, but found in muddy brackish waters. And then of course they will probably drop some leaves that will need to be picked out. Or prune off dead leaves. So ya, definitely some maintenance involved. I just think of it as more coral. :) I'll have to look into the misting systems down the road. Thanks for the tip!

Holy cow! What an amazing build.

Incredible. That plumbing is pristine.
Thanks!

Dennis I saw one set-up on a local system that had the ATO set up as a "Misting System" for his mangroves. Unfortunately he had a family tragedy and got out of the hobby but for the short time it was up and running it was a sweet system. It worked like the "Produce Misting System" at your local super market. It's worth looking into for sure.

Dennis,
Who do you have for your Profilux email provider? I have tried gmail, yahoo and suddenlink but none of them will allow me to forward messages from my profilux to the inbox.

Any help would be appreciated.

Oh really?
I haven't gotten that far yet. I use ATT Uverse for my main email (which is what I was going to use) and also have gmail and another one.
I have the remote internet access working fine through my Uverse 2wire router.
I'll report back when I try to setup the email portion and let you know.

Cool, thanks Al. :)

This is so over the top! Your last setup was unbelievable and I never thought it could be topped, but you seem to be excelling at this.
