Daniel's RSM 250 SPS tank

Thank you Mark and RBURN24 for watching the video.

Here is a shorter video with the smaller white Aliens moving done the same day.

The coral is around 3" from the glass and you need a strong magnification glass to see these Aliens or the zoom in the phone.

Here we go:

https://youtu.be/Po3lySFXsnU

You can see the polyp retracting when the Alien is walking over it.

Matt , have you seen the 2nd movie?, The white little guys moving ?

In the first one we have 2 types of Aliens. Ones are bigger and move very fast.

Yep, I saw them but with no evidence of damage I'd bet they are leaning up excess mucous and not harmful.

How many t5s are you running in conjunction to the led strips? And what bulbs I'm in a mix with my lighting my frags are looking good still trying to dial in my hydra52 with the 4 t5's I'm running with it... I'm pretty close to where I need to be most the frags are on outer edges way out of the hot spots from the leds but up higher I'm sure I'll have to move them down when the go underneath the mothership

The tank has 6 T5.

All ATI now (just started this combo in January).

4 Blue plus
1 Coral plus
1 Purple.

Before it was similar, with one less actinic and an extra kind off the coral plus. But I was using other brands. First time I go with full ATI.

Cheers
Daniel

Unfortunately , when I went to pick up this small colony today (Ora Joe the Ciral) the guy started the lights in front of me and there was no polyps at all in any of the corals in the frag tank.

I saw it Strange and he took me to the display tank, and there was also non polyps out.

So I said thank you but I returned with my hands empty.

Something was out of balance in that tank. He told me the tank was 6 months old and all the big colonies were in a house friend , that he has just relocated and have to reduce the tank size. I believe him. The tank was pretty, and looks like brand new. I just couldn't take the risk of bringing that coral to my tank.

Tomorrow and I will go to pick others:

This pink Acro with 2 branches

And this cream and peaches milli

I hope these are OK

You did the right thing i think Daniel, even if the guy was legit there's something suss about everything having zero PE.......... 'RUN AWAY !'

I hope you get those two other frags, they both look yummy to me :)

I received today 2 more AF probiotic salt buckets from Amazon. Unfortunately one was crashed and the lid was open. The salt was exposed to humidity and some salt were in the box. I returned it immediatly.....GRRRRRR

But Amazon works great. Instantly after giving me the return label a new replacement order was placed and will be at home in 2 days.

NoW I just need to go to my nearest UPS store and ship back the damage product.

Well..... it's life. But customer service is very well organized at Amazon.

Cheers

One of the many reasons I try to buy through Amazon first!

Dang Daniel! As a member of the rebel alliance of Aquaforest, you've struck a mighty blow against the empire! Really nice corals in that set of pics!

Dan, your tank is simply fantastic.
The growth you are getting is amazing, I mean amazing!
I'm glad you didn't pick up that Joe the coral but the two new additions look really healthy and I'm sure your next shots of them will be shockingly nice!
Those bugs do look exactly like red bugs except they aren't red and more importantly, don't seem to be affecting the coral. I would leave them unless you really see a decline in health.
I am always amazed whe I come home and find a branch of a coral broken off.. Then I see my tangs chasing each other around sometimes and it is incredible how fast they can move when they really want to... I can't imagine how much it must hurt them when their nose hits a coral branch hard enough to snap it off... Must be like running into a tree!
Your latest shots are superb!!!!
Your tank is soooo jam packed with life!!! Healthy and thriving.. It reminds me of a mini scottyfreddy tank.
Dan, it is not easy to control such a small environment, especially when the water to coral ratio gets so small, like yours is getting.
This requires special skill.. And you my friend are demonstrating that you are very skilled indeed!!
