danskim's 300g rimless starphire

More PAR during the dawn/dusk :)
I am running a Sfiligoi Actinic bulb in each fixture when all lights are on... but I'll probably switch them out for more Blue pluses.
I tried 1 Blue plus and 1 Actinic, but I seemed to prefer the two Blue pluses.

On another note... I think I'm going to be placing a big Atlantis Aquarium order. Gonna kill my wallet I think.

I'm also really sweating the KZ Revolution skimmers...

I do like the colors more I think. It's a nice even color throughout, and it has a nice deepwater effect. But also in the back of my mind there's something that always wants more output haha.

Yes! It was just up while I was rearranging and adding the fish. I think they were like 15" above the water. They're now 4" or so.

Anyone think the KZ Revolution M would be better suited for about 400-450 gallons than an ATI BM250?
Either that or I'll save up for the ATB Large Cone.

Yes :) or ATB medium/large

Can you post a FTS from a distance, so we can see how you hung your Powermodules?

Dan It looks awesome! I like the openness of the aquascaping, how many #s of rock do you think you have in there? That Octopus calcium reactor is a beast, what made you go with that unit?

They're just screwed into drywall anchors in the ceiling. Here is the picture... You can also see the lowered fixtures :)

Haha you can also see the hall lights, and the semi-useless recessed lighting fixture.

Yeah I was originally leaning more towards the ATB, but I don't know... the translucent orange just looks so cool. If I go ATB, I might as well get the XL since it's only a little more expensive... woo!

Most simply... price. It seems to me that a calcium reactor doesn't really need to be super sophisticated to do its job. The concept is pretty simple. I was considering some German and American brands, but the price on this was very low. It really is built well.

I have about 200-250lbs I think. I didn't need any extra rock when moving from my 150... it was just too crowded in there. I have a few extra pieces in fact, and some base rock that I'm seeding with it for a new frag tank and perhaps later if I decide I need more rock in the display.

Looks great. I love the Powermodules + Rimless tank look :)

You've got much more PAR now than you did when they were 15" up ;)

I wouldnt change a thing on the aquascape! I love it! Looks natural like the bottom of an ocean floor!

Thanks! Coming from you, it's an honor :)
I'll have to ponder some more. I was thinking of elevating one of the islands, but I hadn't decided which one.

I dont think you should elevate it. You are giving off the illusion that your tank is bigger than it seems. I guess it doesnt hurt to try. ;)
