Don't worry Dan, I can barely take a picture to save my life. Trust me....
Dave, I hear ya. I'm using pretty good equipment so I'm sure the problem is between the floor and the camera. :o

Wow thats a huge Palmers. Can you take a close up shot of that please? Thanks!

I didn't wanna be rude but yes that pic is pretty bad lol. My eyes started hurting trying to focus on what color is what.
No worries Ramzy. Feel free to say what you think, I won't take it personally only constructively. Funny, the picture looks OK on my laptop but looks horrible at work and on my desktop. I'll try to get a picture of the Palmer's up but my mother-in-law is out visiting so I gotta lay low on the reef stuff so my wife doesn't smack me.

What's the pink tipped looking piece to the right of the Setosa and directly behind the clown in the last picture? Can you get a closer pic, looks like it may be a lokani or a granulosa?

Nope, just the Tyree Ponape Birdsnest.

I am really going to have to bone up on my nomenclature of coral types and species. Anyone know a good book or place to start?
Wesley, I think the standard is "œCorals of the World", Vol. 1, 2, 3 by J.E.N. Veron. You can also look at the SPS/LPS coral identification database on Zeovit.com. For the "œnamed" stuff try Tyree's website (reeffarmers.com), John Dakan's store (yourreef.com) and Exoticfrags.us. There are many others, but those come to the top my mind.

It's a little blurry and the sharper birds nest edges looked a bit rounded like a granulosa to me. Oh well....

Nice piece!!!

Nice Dan! Is that the grapejuice?
Thanks Leo but nope, not the RRGJ. It was acquired as the Reefermadness Limeade Nasuta but I'm not positive of the lineage. I did acquire a frag with lineage but it's still too small to compare. In any case it is a really nice piece.

Wow Dan, very beautiful setup. Glad I meet Brian (Mylittlejade) tonight. Told me to check out your build and it has been great. Sorry to hear about your fish, cant wait to see whats next for your tank. I would love to see your tank in person if you don't mind and mabye get some frags if your needing a trim. Now I look at my tank and say damn, how come my tank cant look like yours. Keep up the good work.

Michael
