Dave's 150G Starphire Zeo Reef~

Dave, The pictures look good, they are definitely coloring up and you've got good growth in a pretty short time. Props for sticking with the Zeo regiment, I sure couldn't do it.

Hello Dave,

I share the same feeling as the others. The commitment to your tank and to the zeo method is well seen in the healthy and colours of your corals. Bravo!

Once they mature, it´s going to be one awsome reef tank.

The Anthias were a great addition. They give great colour and movement to the tank, don´t they? ;)

Keep the updates coming. :D

Regards,
André

Thank you Dan, Andre, mnml & rapture, I appreciate your compliments and look forward to seeing things mature!~

I got a new Pyramid Butterfly and thought I'd post a couple pictures of him. Sorry for the dirty glass, I need to clean it.

I'm looking into getting a pair of Cirrhilabrus rhomboidalis's and then a couple of Tangs and I think I'll be done with fish for a while. If anyone has any experience with the rhomboidalis's, I'd love to here from you.

Thanks for looking!

Dave, I just put a Rhomboid in my tank and he has been a great fish, was not shy when introduced and has been a model citizen so far. I've never heard of them causing any problems. Do you think you'll have any issues with the Pyramid and your corals?

Hey Dan,

The pyramid butterfly has been doing great so far. He's a good eater and hasn't demonstrated any desire for my corals thus far.

Good news on the Rhomboid for you. I may have to wait a while on getting them though cause I just spent a bundle on equipment this month. I got a liter meter 3, a 6105 and as of today a new Tunze wave box, phew!

Probably gonna be a month or two before I add the Rhomboid or anything else.

what model wavebox did you get?
I've been thinking about getting a nano wavebox myself, but your tank is deeper than mine.

It's the bigger one, not the nano. I've been pretty busy but once I get things dialed in with it I'll be sure to post some review on it and how it effects things for me in the tank.

Love the butterfly Dave. I have 4 in my tank and they are a cool addition in any reef.

Hum, beginning to realize that more SPSers than I thought have nippers in their tanks. Funny how you hear a lot of horror stories but there seems to be a large number of people that keep'em. Who knows maybe I'll throw one in, just hope that I don't become one of the horror stories.:(

New Fish Alert

Well, I picked up a few fin friends today.

1.) Ringtail Tang (juvenile)
2.) Naso Tang (juvenile)
3.) Ruby Headed Wrasse

They all look great except the Naso. He appears to be a bit stressed so, I couldn't take a good picture of him.

Here's the pics from a little bit ago

Just read the whole thread and great layout of tank and canopy/light set up is great
Cant wait to see the tank when all corals grow in

Dave you have a nice setup and hella frags in there too with plenty of room for them to thrive! I'm now thinking of redoing my tank after looking at the amount of "room" you currently have.

SPSpirate - Thanks me too!

DanW - Yeah, he really caught my eye when I saw him. I've never seen one around here or in anyone else's tank so that made him a must have!

Zach.Attack6 - Thanks for taking the time, I hope you find some useful info here! I'm looking forward to seeing everything fill in too!

wesley6610 - Thank you Weslely, I wanted a tank with a lot of depth. I only wish it was about a foot or two longer, lol! Oh well, this is all I had space for....

Dave, that 'Pearl Berry'.. do you know what species that is, or that you were told that is?

I have the same coral, and need an ID.
