Dave's 1st Gig - Purple

Ok Thank You Jared. Think I should treat with medication yet?

Minh's looks bad too?

They always look bad after shipping.

Make some freshly mixed saltwater ASAP if you haven't all ready.

Minh's looks better than yours because he was more prepared and started tx on arrival.

430pm update.

I started treatment with 500mg Cipro because the other antibiotic will not arrive until Saturday.

I will do a 100% water change tonight and add another 500mg of Cipro to the 10 gallon tank that it is in.

Dave,
My water was cold to touch but I did not take a temp. I think they tolerate cold a lot better than hot. There was a cold pack in my box which was understandable due to the heat of summer. I though mine was very well pack and well insulated. I start treatment right away due to debris and slight cloudiness of the water.
I also started a thread on mine. Start treatment and hope for the best. Good luck

Thanks guys. How's the blue one doing Minh? Never mind you posted about the same time as me.
I'll look at your thread.

I did a 100%'water change. And added cipro.
I guess that's about all I can do until tomorrow night.

Here's the latest pics.
Thanks for everyone's help and interest.

He is looking a whole lot better. I am sure he will look great in AM. Keep us update.

I wonder how ctran's purple is doing.

A lot of nem lovers all over! I'm hoping all these gigs make it in this latest round. It would be great if shipping gigs was no longer a death sentence. With everyone sharing opinions and experiences, it sure would be nice for higher success rates.

Your purple looks to have some nice color to it. I hope for the best for your gig. Keep us posted.

He's not looking too bad, just keep dosing.

Also, Cipro is the big Gun. So if ur thinking this is all I can do, don't worry...you're using the best med possible.

Just keep with the WC's and dose Q24 hrs.

I have an Ocean Revive LED.
My other anemones love them.

I'm using a small 250gph powerhead for water movement.

I think the nem looks worse today. Mouth is still open. I did another 100% water change and I'm still dosing Cipro.

Latest pics.

I would invert the container so that he attach on the top. This help expose him to higher current, which I think will help him recover.

I just read where you recommended that. I tried to remove it. But it's really stuck in there. Should I go ahead and remove it?
