Daves Shallow 35

KMP - Thanks buddy! It was made out of 1" square tubing. My design, just made by a local friend.

Michael B - Thanks! Keeping checking in, I'll keep on updating :)

Ben - Just a custom steel stand. I had the concept for a year or so. It will hold three tanks and hopefully all working together.

I'm going to be in China for a little less than four more weeks. Been here a little more than a month already (59-day trip in total). Watch for pics in the Photography forum when I get back!

On the topic of your tank, though, I'm really glad to hear that your ORA Mandarin is taking food. I sifted through the ORA Thread on the forum and only heard a bunch of dissapointing stories, so it's nice to see some success :)

Now, I wonder if I'd be able to get one in my nano...

An update is needed. Still smooth sailing...

Sorry I have not updated the thread in some time. I will have the PAR tests after this weekend and will have some other cool stuff on the way. I will be putting two Nano Box Uni-bodies over this tank along with the Ryujin controller driving it. I have new LED's that have created an amazing look over the corals.

I've had the tank set up for a year and a half now and through the ups and downs I think I have my tank right where I want it. I will be adding Tyree 20K Lokinia, Carls Candlelight, Pink Lemonade, Strawberry table acro, Meteor shower to the tank after I remove the cap on the right. The cap is now 8-9" across and 4-5" deep. The growth has been insane the past few weeks with stable parameters, frequent feedings and killer skimming. I will be adding a MP10 to the right side and using it as a "wavemaker" too. Today I am adding 4 large Berghia nudi's to take out my aptasia. I'm really looking forward to see what these little guys can do.

Here are some pictures I was able to snap today.

Oh yea pictures! I love this tank. I have thoughts of upgrading then downgrading then this and that, then I come home to this little guy and just cant get rid of it. I am battling this odd clear slime that is in my sump but I am not to worried about it. I plan on switching to ESV salt and adding ozone sometime. I plan on making a custom super efficient fixture for this tank ( 90 LED's running at 350mA with dual controllers, 24"x10 "x1/2") but that is still out in the future. Anyways the corals are growing big, fish are loving life and I'm pleased to say its been two years!

Right Side : War Coral has officially taken over.

Nope. Its max size is around 10-14". It only hides in the right rock and I have no clue its full length. Its very cool though!

Still working on the LED unit. I will be out of town for work for 12 days but the little lady will be taking care of it. Nothing to worry about... I hope ;)

I figured a few photos would be fun before I head out.

The Setosa has grown even more but the Red Planet keeps killing it as well. Making it look almost the same. Everything is getting giant. Behind some of the other stuff there are 40-50 Tubs Blue zoas, Pink Lemonade, Digi that is growing on the overflow. Give this a year and I cant wait to see it! :D

Enjoy!
