Deep blue or black?

Just bought the background for the back of the tank. I have two options, deep blue or a black. I am thinking black to bring out the colors of the fish and coral. What are your thoughts?

I've done both also. Given enough time, the back of the tank becomes the very same color as coralline algae so whichever you choose will be temporary.

Why do people ask others what they should like. It's your tank use the one YOU like best. If you like it, it's perfect.

Vote for black. But I've done white as well, makes it brighter it seems. As it's been mentioned before, eventually everything turns purple.

Blue

Blue

I went with blue...though I originally bought a few cans of black Plasti Dip. I see a lot of fresh water tanks with black backgrounds, but most salt are blue. Let's see some black pictures for the OP.

I like blue because I have a low power light "Current USA LED" and I need all the reflection help I can get. I've read that black "absorbs" more light than blue. Plus it reminds more more of the ocean.

Your choice, whatever you like it's your tank. I personally went with a mirror tint on the back so when you are looking at it it almost seems like endless tank.

Whenever I see a tank with a blue background, it's the first thing my eye goes to. I think blue attracts too much attention and takes away from the tank inhabitants, aquascape, etc. Just my opinion of course
