Great looking Tank, I was wondering how deep the RMS clamps protrude the rim of the tank are? as no one has this information.

Update time!

Hello my RC friends, I hope all is well in reef aquaria :)

It's been a while since I last updated this post. I have to be honest, not much has changed in the last 6 weeks up until the last few weeks.

I've been really busy with work and my photography this fall and I left the tank in auto pilot mode. I basically just fed the fish, cleaned the glass and performed water changes. I did manage to keep my parameters stable.

In the last few weeks, I've had a chance to splurge a little bit and got some new live stock for the tank. I've been adding stuff faster then I would like, but stocking the tank is very addictive as we all know. But I think with the amount of Live Rock I have and the Vertex Alpha 250 cone. I'll take my chances lol

My original stocking plans were to go with small fish and invertebrates, but I'm wife thinks the tank looks to bare from a distance. I'm not going to argue, she is right. So we've decide to just start stocking it with larger fish.

I've had a chance to add my Sailfin and clown fish back into the system. I did this because of my hair algae was starting to really take over and I needed a fix. I found he could keep up so I added a Kole tang to the mix. Most of the algae is gone now.

With this tank, I've noticed a huge amount of pods in this tank. I find it very strange to have so much at such an early stage in this tank. Especially since I used mostly dead rock in the display itself. I guess the pods are getting in from the sump. I've decided to not keep a mandarin fish this time around. But Instead I've opted for dragon face pipe fish. I pick up a pair a few weeks ago and i couldn't be any happier. Instantly they were working their way through the rock and feasting. Just last week, I've got them to eat Cyclopees to my surprise. I've very happy about that.

Last week I pick up a few large frags from a fellow reefer

Red dragon
Cali tort
Setosa
Tri colour vadila
Red planet
and a few others no names, but beauts none the less.
So far they are all doing well under the Radions and the colouring looks really good under leds. All of my other SPS are growing well except for two shy ones.
I might have to frag them to encourage some growth. We will see.

Today on my way home from work I drop by my LFS. He happened to a 5 Hawaiian Bi-colour Anthias. They've been there for a month or so and were kept together. All eating well and great coloration. I've always wanted Anthias but I was alway skeptical about the feeding habits etc. So I ended up bring them home anyways. I wanted to grab a perfect looking PBT and 5 Blue eyed Cardinals aswell, but i knew these Anthias were already pushing my luck with the bioload, my wallet and the wifes patients LMFAO!

Thats about all for now. I'll have to post some pics of the live stock. But heres a full room shot :)

Until then my friends.

Hey all, here are a few pics I took this morning of my Bi-colour Anthias. Boy are these fish aggressive feeders and not shy at all. They always follow me back and forth looking for a bite to eat lol. Really happy with them thus far. I sure hope they will stick around for a while.

The splash of colour has really given the tank a great focal point now. These guys aren't camera shy at all lol

Something is wrong with the photos this time - they are tiny. Enhance, enhance.

Re-updated photos just for DTUM

Well I guess my new computer doesn't work quite like my laptop. Disappointing to say the least. But it looks like I figured out a new way to load large images :) So tonight I did some new pictures. Now I can start to track my SPS growth

Here are some fish pictures. I have to say these Anthias are very social. Them being out in the open helps with the other fish coming out more.
