the story you all know about blew me a very hard hard strike. i'm now so devastated

i even have on the pumps the mesh covers comin with the mp40

**** **** ****

Oh man im sorry. Im nervous about my RBTA atm. It seems to be inching towards the powerhead... When will we learn

sorry to hear man.I have a red carpet decided to float and get into a powerhead. instead of trying to remove it from the pw i decided to unplug the pw and leave the carpet alone. it detached itself and months later recovered. same as my mag too, they do recover......unless the damage is beyond repair.

Mine did the same had been in the same spot for weeks then just let go and before i know it gone sorry about yours I know what it feels like.

I know the feeling,my mag got into my mp40,like you I had the mesh covering that came with it in place. It pulled the mesh from the mp40 enough to get chewed up.Nuked every fish in the tank except my clowns.Knock on wood it hasn't moved since in the past year and a half.

M Woodhill, your H. Mag had two mouths correct? If it wasn't yours I forget who recently got the H. Mag with two mouths.

My most recent H. Mag started with two mouths when I purchased it, after about a month I noticed it started reforming it's mouth over the two small mouths to create one mouth. Currently this is still going on and its been moving non stop, detaching non stop and when I place back on the rock work it takes forever to reattach. Maybe there is a correlation between these events In our tanks or maybe it's simply allelopathy in my case.

I know this might sound stupid, but are you sure it was dead? My mag attempted suicice twice but it came out with minor injuries the first and severe injuries along with some fish deaths the second time. Still alive a month later and healthier then ever. It has lost it's zooxanthallae about 4 months ago, 2 months ago it started regaining it, 3 weeks later it committed it's second suicide attempt and now 5 weeks since the incident it looks great. You can still see where the damage occured but doing well.
