It would be great if you can give a rough estimate of how many LEDs/drivers everyone is looking to buy.

I would suggest a new thread with a poll that has options in groups of 12 since everything works around that number...

Something like. Group Buy From Rapid LED

What would you want to opurchase if the price was right from rapid LED.

1) 12 LED
2) 24 LED
3) 36 LED
4) 48 LED


etc...


This way if 10 people select 12 and 20 select 24 you know you have a potential of 600 LED's and 30 drivers... (roughly).


Or pose specific questions on number of heat sinks, fans, power supplies, white and blue LEDs. Otherwise you will get a conveluted bunch of answers to try to make heads or tails of...

The problem here is that RapidLED's rates will depend on the quantity people buy, but the quantity people buy will depend on RapidLED's rates. I doubt the numbers you get testing waters will be anywhere near the actual numbers in the finalized group buy. If you can ask them, it would be easier if RapidLED could give us stepwise rates based on different tiers. For example, if we reach $2000 then we get 5% off, $3000 then 7% off, $4000 then 8% off, etc.

^^That's what I was thinking. If you buy XX amount of supplies you will get said product for $XX. That way it gives us a goal to shoot for.

btw for those who havent noticed rapidled has taken off $15 on their 24 led ultra dimming kit

just got a reply from rapidled.com :

For this group buy, we're able to offer the following:

5% off for orders over $1500
8% off for orders over $2500
12% off for orders over $3500
15% off for orders over $5000

Shipping is $6 per address that we ship to, so if it's all going to one location then it's only $6 for the entire order. We'd need payment to come from one person, that way it's very clear what the amount purchased would be.

We might get a bigger group that way.

Since shipping is only $6 ,I would prefer getting it shipped to individual addresses for a hassle free transaction.
