I'm going to order royal blue LEDs
anybody want to get some? Let me know.

wavelength of 440-450nm 700mA, 120degree, At price of USD1.28/pc.

when i was researching my led setup, the manufacturer of my LED kit did optics tests and got the highest PAR from the 70 degree optics.

Where did you get this information from? I am trying to decide what optics to get for the LED fixture I'm going to make. I plan on placing the fixture about 13" above the water.

I can only imagine that the 40 degree optic would give a wider spread and less PAR.Just my opinion based on pure speculation.

actually the bigger the number the wider the spread.

good to know,im new to LED's and this is the first time i have used them.the great thing about the optics is that they are cheap enough to swap out if you dont like your current setup.

I saw Jae's tank With just the 18,000-20,000 K LEDs , and to me it looks like a tank with just MH 20,000 K radiums . If you like more blue , add some RB LEDs . If you want Blue for Dusk , and Dawn then add some RB LEDs .

I installed my 88 3 w led display today and wow. The shimmer is back. Thanks Jae for all your help. I'm currently working on another 88 -3 watt display And soon 2 -22ea -3w royal blue displays.
