That would be a 900lph pump. The AC 901 aka Laguna 900 would work.

do you (or anybody) think that one of the smaller laguna's would work on a 6"x60" skimmer w/ a 4"neck?

is that the 8"x24" skimmer you have used for other tests? if so, how does it handle 100scfh?

I'm just thinking as I go. the 2400's are supposed to handle a 36" height well, so i thought the smaller pumps might handle head well too. I'd like to be able to do it with out an air pump.

What size pipe is that? It looks like it needs a little honing to fit around that o-ring though. What size are your inlet/outlet pipes?
I see that the outlet isnt 100% tangential, so adding some internal baffle/flap at the exit to direct water out might help... alot like the contours that many pumps have in the impeller well to direct water out rather than recirculate more. With high flow/low-pressure pumps they play a greater role it seems since the centrifugal force isnt as great (esp with asperating skimmer pumps). You may not need it, but in case you do...
