+1 - a bluish medium to dark grey allows everything to sort of fade into the background, adding a sense of depth.

Maybe consider using a "tannish" (not sure if this is a real word) color paint for your background? I think that it gives more of a sense of depth than the usual blue/blacks, plus with any lighting over 10k, it tends to look fairly blue anyway. This is an awful example from my 120 Caribbean tank (just base LR when I took this one), but if you compare the color to the background in dive pictures, it's actually not too far off. Can be easily scraped off with a razor blade (provided that you can reach) if you don't like how it turns out.

That's tannish? I was thinking bleshish, speaking of words that are probably not real words...

Lol yeah the thing is massive!! I seen it when George(GEO) was building It at his shop one day when I was over there.

I will post pictures this week of it up and running. Will also post more pics when the tank clears... Well I won't but Eric will!

Started plumbing the tank today. Should have it finished tomorrow night after work. I have to customize my 210g sump to get the skimmer in it I figured out tonight... Thankfully it's acrylic

20x20x31" or something close to that. Rated for 1000g heavy bio load. Custom Geo built buy George. I will get some updated pictures before Christmas. Plumbing for the sump is complete minus the pump. Finish up plumbing tomorrow and customizing (cutting) the sump for the skimmer. Also I will give you the actual dimensions of the skimmer

Jumping in here at the right time. Looks like things are coming together now. Can't wait to see that custom skimmer.

Sump is plumbed, water going in tonight. Finally the tank will be running! Skimmer is in the sump now. Waiting from a reply from George at Geo on having the skimmer internal (think I know what to plug) and ideal water height.
