Do Aptasia Have Eyes: Need an aphasia whisperer.

So got a frag from a local guy. After a few months, I noticed an aptasia which I killed. :lmao: Now, every once in a while I see a new one pop up which I also kill. :lol2: MY question isn't about killing them but about how they react.

My BTA nems just sit there when I approach and don't usually shrink unless I really touch them hard.

The aptasia seem to immediately shrink down when I get close to them with my aptasia killing syringe and before I even touch them. Do they have eyes? Do they know that they are the scourge of aquarium owners everywhere and are about to die? What gives.

The two or three that I have found have been really small. I use concentrated Kalk so it doesn't take much but I just find it odd that they seem to know the end is near.
