Do different Montis behave the same?

I have a new 29 lit by 130watts of PC. I plan on doing mostly LPS, rics, and zoos, but also some Montipora (no orange cap though, I've had my fill)

I once had a nice red/pink M. digitata under PC that never browned. Do you suspect that M. danae will behave similarly? I don't want to buy a $30 superman frag and have it brown out.

It's likely that if not given enough light the montipora will brown out. The captive raised corals are more tolerant of less light but there's still a threshold that you shouldn't go below. You might want to look into a 4 bulb t5 setup. Also make sure all water perameters are stable and at the proper level. HTH

I've got my superman almost on the bottom of my 55 under 260 watt PC

I've got UVL bulbs that are awesome.

I bleached out the first one having it up to high.

im running 4 t5 and have mine about halfway down. My purple haze monti bleached bad but my sunset superman true undata setosa and digitatas on the same rack are acting identical as far as color and growth. Actually my setosa's are easily winning the battle for growth. the frags are 3 times the size i got them in april.

In short if a digtata did alright your superman danae will to imo

Sounds like what I wanted to hear. I will be picking up some digitata first to make sure it keeps color in this system.
