Does 2 clown shareing a anemone mean thier paired?

Does 2 clown shareing a anemone mean thier paired? I haven't kept tracked of what happen when I had 3 clowns, one died now I've had these 2 clowns hanging out together for about 2 years, but i've never seen them spawn eggs

They almost certainly are paired.....however, just because they are paired, does not mean that they will lay eggs. I would imagine your 50g reef tank is a community system that has other fish. The clowns may feel that one of the other fish may be posing a threat to the survival of their young, or they are just being harassed. The clown has to feel VERY comfortable to spaun.
