Does anyone have pics of "LE" polyps?

LOL! You know what Mucho that is so true! If they were $3 a polyp nobody would even care to begin with. :D

I'm interested in seeing some LE's myself...

Me too, I have never seen an LE polyp. I would love to see one. All of the corals mentioned above are monderful species though.

Steve marketed LE corals as they were once very limited. But with the hobby changing so much and with the importing of corals changing so much, Is there really an LE coral. I think not. I have plenty of corals that I spent way too much on, but that is a personal choice. I used to love the older pieces that took me awhile to find, but now, a coral that gets transhipped gets mad a LE 3 months later. I paid more a piece that I new would respond to certain husbandry.
I am burned out with the whole name game and every Dick, Jane, and Larry selling LE corals that are not or ever been on Steve's site. That is his gig and he is nice guy. Why don't people get there own gig?

Wonderful shots Mucho. Me Likey :D

These are nice

Oh, i didnt know it was a joke hahahahaha.

BUT if there was one polyp that only had 13 others like it, and it wasnt cool looking and sold for a dime a polyp, none of us would hear about it.

I bet the most Limited/rare/hard to find polyps are ugly, thats why no one ever notices that there are so few of them available.

because everytime someone gets something stunning or bright, they post it on here, or tell their buddies. They compare prices and want to see how much everyone else paid and where they got it. But no one does that if its a brown zoa with a brownish green skirt, even though that polyp might be the rarest of all.

just a thought.

IMHO' There are no LE zoos, palys, protopalys as bottom polyps readily produce in the aquaria. LE's are hard to get to propagate, not much out there, limited stock etc... plus like LE SPS you carry the lineage over of that specific gene of the coral. It dosnt change, you get what you paid for, it dosn't morph to its different environment like Zoos/palys/protopalys. ALL morph and change in different aquaria. the same polyp in my tank when placed in another tank MAY change to another look, color or pattern.

LE's can't really be placed on our zoos. but hard to get like maybe a true OPE' and some of the harder to get polyps out there.

Maybe we can name it ( Hard To Get ) HTG's instead of LE's.

Here are a few:

IMHO, Nucs and PD's can't really be LE as they grow very fast, I sell these for only $20 each. PPEs maybe can be somewhat classified as LE or ( NTG ) need to gets as they do grow the slowest out of all the ones that I know.

I need to know what I'm looking for, that's why I'm asking. Do you happen to have some by chance?

By your standards no I do not. By other's let's just say I have a few. :D

But I am more in agreement with your definition of LE. Although I do not fault anyone for wanting to collect what they think is best for them as I know you do not as well.

I'm confused. If you agree with the many others who feel the same way, then you wouldn't have any LE's. We agree that LE doesn't exist, correct? So you're saying that you have a Limited Supply?

I thought it was always the EYE of the BEHOLDER here.

That's what I thought. I agree with you.

Yes you are confused I guess.... :D

I agree about the LE term being over used and not really valid when it comes to zoas and palys, but I based what I purchased and traded for on if I liked them or not. If i liked them I got them. If I didnt, I left them alone.

YES I agree with you about so called LE palys, not really being LE, but just because I own them and some people call them LE doesnt mean I think I have LE's or agree with the term LE being used..

And no I dont think I have any LE's by your definition...

I agree with everything you said my friend and no longer confused :D

LE to some people means more $$$$$$$$$ for them LOL. an excuse to ask for more in value for sale or for trade

I get my pieces for looks and color. But I just use zoaid for a name to distinguish them from each other but not for $$$$$
