does anyone know of any good custom stand/canopy manufacturers?

I've heard of R&J, but don't know of any other companies that can construct and ship custom stands/canopies.

I am probably getting my 225 gallon (72 x 27 x 27) tank from DSA, but don't like their stand/canopy.

Anyone know of any other companies?

The best thing to do would be to contact a local cabinet maker.

Have to agree with going local. They can deliver and install and if there are any issues, they can remedy them. If it's not local, that becomes problematic.

Any specifics I should tell them? That's a lot of weight...how will they know if what they make will be sturdy enough? Any general ideas?

any real cabinet maker will know if the stand can support weight. just give them the specs and estimated weight full

I think you will find that a lot of RC members actually make their own, so perhaps a local reefer can help you out (may have warranty implications though0..

I went with a steel stand and I'm just going to have a wood cover/skirt or whatever you want to call it built around it. Steel is much more dependable (and expensive)

I would find a local Amish man and tell him what you want. It will be the best cabinet/stand you could have built
