Does sps which rtn relives??

Hi, I got a strawberry shortcake sps. After I put into the tank after a short period of acclimatization, it went into rtn overnite. It turned into skeleton.

However, I noticed the based of the sps, internally is pink. The pink color slowly spread its coverage. Then some of its branches also starts to have pink color internally. It is not coralline algae for sure.

So just wanna ask does anyone encounter the revival of sps that went rtn?

If any of the tissue remains, the coral can grow back. I'd leave it in for a few months. I've had corals growth back from the tiniest piece of flesh remaining.

Ive had dead corals come back 6 months later, just put it somewhere not noticable even if it doesnt come back the bugs will love it

I've had pieces that I thought were dead. I just stick them somewhere and forget. Next thing you know you have a coral starting it's come back tour

I always just do a smell check. Acros when alive all have a very distinct smell. If you pull it out and and it doesnt smell, then you know its done.

I've never had one come back but maybe I haven't given the ones I have had go downhill over the years enough of a chance. RTN is contagious so I try to frag and get necrosing tissue out as soon as I can when it happens.
