So you could call them B's :)

The female, is defiantly a B. The male is a strong C with potential to be a B. However ORA doesn't sell "C" rated Picasso's.

Eithere way they are nice and in time there black will come in and they will look great.

I agree. I just wish these didn't pop up, so I could buy Doni's. But she will get my recommendation for anyone looking for Picasso's.

Their "C" rated picassos are sold as "regular" clowns...if you compare the price on Doni's "C" grade...they're comparable to "regular" clown prices on average overall...it's going to fluctuate depending on the market you're in but on average as a whole, they're both about the same price...and they look almost the same...

Yours do look great, ifisch :D Their swirly pattern will be awesome with some more black around them!!

Since ORA only has A's, and B's, I am going to say the male is a C+ or between a C and B. He may, should, and hopefully turn into a B.

The female is definitely a B, now that I look at more and more pictures. She's got the middle stripe/bar connect with the jaw line, only on 1 side. (Which indicates a B, according to Doni).

However I cannot grade them based on Doni's scale, because they are not her's. However if I had to do it all over again, I'd purchase through Doni.

Thanks for the comments on my fish. They are beautiful, to me. I think they may be a bit more beautiful than Doni's, but Doni's are far more attractive (immediate inspection) and unique. The colors on my fish are stunning. Not to say Doni's aren't. I would still like to have her's, over mine, because I like the unique patterns on her fish. My fish colors are like a 9.75/10. They're damn near perfect.

Oh well. Time to move on, and keep this topic on track. No Doni's for me, but a Picasso is a Picasso. :)

iFisch,
Thanks for asking donis about her grading scale.
I guess what I noticed is not that certain clowns were on the border of an "A" or "B" grading scale, but something different all together.

My initial reaction to the noticable change in Grade A clowns from there is either shes not producing as many nice grade A clowns as a few months ago...or that she thought the clowns which she once called grade A's she could get more $$$ for. I guess that is what I was getting at overall. I'm not saying that its a bad thing, but as a hobbiest just something I clearly noticed.

You're not the only one. ;)

i agree....if you go to her website right now she is advertising that the grade A clown she has right now is a possible snowcasso as it matures, also it went from a 100 dollars to 75. The markings make it look like a normal percula. I feel sorry for the poor fellow who buys that

Saw that too and was wondering the same thing...how is that possibly going to turn out into a snowcasso when it rarely resemble a grade B picasso? As you can tell with that particular clown, the black trim is already starting to come in around the white...meaning that the white will not spread out beyond the black lines...

got the logo doing a search online for clownfishes...and after doing a little research here on reefcentral, found out that the guy is banned from here as well...no one will say as to why but must've got on the wrong side big time of someone higher up...

And it's best for all to move on.

Thank you DC for cleaning this up. This has been a very, very nice topic, lots of pictures and talk about her fish. I'd hate it to be closed.

As you can see, there's over 2,300 views. Let's keep it friendly guys. (Although when I came back on, everything was edited/deleted, so I don't know the full story, but I am sure DC does).

Back on topic 'fellas.

Couple of photos of grade "B" Picassos from ORA
I couldn't get the fish to turn to photograph the other side.......
