DSPS tank from Thailand (1000 gallon+)

you're my reef idol :) You got practically the ocean. Very Nice work!

sorry for your loss on the gem tang - hope the other one makes it to the beautiful display!

Chingchai,
One thing i've always wondered. How do you do any work into the tank with it being so tall? How would you affix coral to your rocks or remove unwanted algae?

That's bad news.

The Gems are amazingly beautiful fish. I hope the other one makes it through and into your fantastic display!

I'm very sorry for your loss, but also very sorry for the situation in Bangkok now. I hope you and your family are fine!

Bad day!!

Bad day!!

Sorry to hear you lost one of your gems. I lost my meredithi angel today but I'm only out $200 nothing like your loss. Hopefully the other one does well for you. Best of luck.

Friends. Many thanks for your sympathy.

However, the show must go on.
I just buy another very big Gem Tang from my LFS's customer.
This fish has been in his tank for three years.

Now I already put him in the sump and will introduce both of them into the display tank next week.

What do you guys think? Is it safe they won't fight each other?

It's a good change that they fight each other. Depend on what type of fight it be. 1 fight to be the boss this end up no fatality. 2 fight to bite one of it tail off this is a fatal one.

You have to put them together in a place they can see each other but with a devider so they can get use to each other.
Make sure they wont escape as if they will be together in a small place, it'll be a problem.
After few weeks together, I'd try to intro them together, but there's no gurantees.

good luck and more important, good luck to all the people in Bangkok, hope the current situation will improve sonnest.

if the depends on size i think if there is a big difference most like the big tang won't pick on the little one. this is base on a couple of purple and yellow tang on my tank
